With all the talk about the WR situation, I don't even know if we really need to draft anyone. With KB back, we should be loaded. I don't think we will unless it's a value pick.

I think we need to draft a speedster at WR.   Ginn is old and I think we could improve on Philly.  Not saying a high pick or anything but we need to keep working on that role IMO.

Could byrd be that guy?  He is on the practice squad and is fast.  If he could be ok in 2 years, i certainly think ginn has another year.

Broncos will be a tought team to beat, the offense is gonna have to be methodical and aggressive  to close this game out. Wear them down with the run game and the pass rushers will be negated by 3rd qtr.  2 TE set is perfect for chip blocking Miller & Ware, while moving the chains with underneath and out routes.  This is gonna be  a full team  effort, need to have the 2 best weeks of preperation.

All i can see is Denver trying to play keep away. But our fast starts are key to getting double digit leads and hold on.

Their d will be tough but we can move the ball.

Early bold prediction:

Cam runs for over 100

Broncos were 4th, maybe 5th best team in the AFC when healthy, on a neutral field.  I would definitely pick a fully healthy patriots, steelers, chiefs, and bengals team over them.

No need to be coy.  The AFC was a disaster the last month of the season and playoffs.  Denver was fortunate to get homefield where they have an insane advantage due to the unique altitude conditions.  I don't think its a coincidence they've won the AFC 8 times, 6 times have been as the top seed, and almost every time they've proceeded to get thumped by the NFC.  No more altitude advantage.

A tough out... we would have to massively play well below our potential to lose this, and I mean well below.  Worse than the loss to the falcons when Cam's kid was born, stewart was out, and we didn't get to practice.

You know those games we rush out 14-0, 17-0, 21-0?  We pull that off and it's fuging over.  Peyton is not overcoming that kind of deficit in his condition.

Ginn is still one of the fastest players in the entire NFL. I'd say he has 2-3 years of usefulness, and I fully believe he'd sign a short extension on the cheap.

    • It's not a philosophy, it's a truth. Every time any team makes a draft pick they are betting that this young fellow will somehow be able to make the jump to the NFL, that'll he won't be bogged down by injuries, that he will over perform where they picked him. And in the vast majority of cases across the entire spectrum of picks, the success rate is low. That makes every draft pick a hope.
