Yesterday was the best overall game day experience I've ever had at BOA

The only thing that was disappointing for me was the walk out, lots of people acting like they just left the golf tournament over at Quail Hollow. We just made the SB for the 2 time ever, let's act like it.

agree, this the only real downer of the day. i had to struggle my ass off to get people to do the let's go panthers or su-per-bowl chant down the concourses. everyone looked at me like i was nuts when i high-fived everyone down the line of cars backed up w. morehead. get hype people come on

As for the giveaways... I disagree completely.  I love the bandannas given away last night.  Something different.  And even better - not "sponsored" so no annoying ads on them.  There is only so many towels that one can have although we do use our stack for napkins during various football themed parties at the house.  The bandanna is second only to the non-sponsored Keep Pounding flag they gave away earlier in the season.   Fortunately that game was a game where there were a lot of opposing fans which means we were able to grab more on the way down at the end of the game.    Now have one hanging in my home office, work office, and gave some away to friends.

I agree except I don't think they had a very large or enough supply last night.  My son and I were walking through the turnstile at a little before 6pm and they were all out.  We enter through the East Gate.  Would have loved to have one of the giveaways last night.  All good though. BUT yeah you are correct, the ones like last night are always the best.  Those KeepPounding banners were great.  We have had one since that game hanging from the fireplace mantel at the house.  Having no sponsor on the giveaways makes them better for sure.

It was by far the best atmosphere I've been a part of at BoA, and even rivals some games I've seen at Neyland. I'm so glad I took a half day off from work and drove all the way from Atlanta and back.

Also, it was nice meeting you at the Riot tailgate @PhillyB... I apologize for my drunken stupor haha

That sucks. The Seattle game, everybody was high fiving everybody while chanting.

in all likelihood it's because of the trophy presentation. instead of everyone leaving in a giant cluster it was really spread out by the time we made our way down the concourses, so the volume just wasn't there.

I asked but never really got an answer on Twitter... the game last week seemed MUCH louder on TV than this week's game.

I'm assuming maybe Fox didn't have the same mic system setup or something?  I mean, I could hear the crowd, but it seemed very muted.  Everyone on twitter was saying how the stadium was literally rocking...  how loud was it? We literally couldn't tell on TV.

Buck mentioned during the broadcast that the Broadcast booth was literally shaking.

This was not my experience at all leaving after the trophy presentation down towards the south gate.  People were going apesh*t.

The reason the game seemed to start out quieter than last was because a lot of the crowd wasn't in their seats to start & it wasn't their fault. Half the crowd was still outside! It was unreal getting into the stadium. Got to the East Gate before 5:30 & did not make it in until 6:15. :( Somehow they need to do better at the entry points. There were still a lot of people behind us when we got in.

But then we nonstop partied until the players came back out after the ceremony & ran around the stadium. However, before the presentation I almost began to cry. It hit me in the middle of all the SB joy that there would not be another Panther game in BoA again until August. So we were celebrating & saying goodbye at the same time to our PSL family.

There was joy & celebration on Tryon late after the game. :)

I read the whole thread and no one has pointed out that the lack of energy on the way out was probably due to the expenditure during the game. I will attest that last night was the loudest I had ever heard the stadium. Right from the kickoff, people were frenzied. As it became more evident that we were, in fact, going to the Super Bowl, it turned into an absolute rave, as PhillyB aptly explained earlier in this thread. I'm gonna give the fanbase a pass this time for being lethargic on the way out. We left it all out there on the field for our Panthers. It's only natural to be spent physically and emotionally after a game like that. I literally wept with joy when I got back to my truck. Hell I'm tearing up right now just thinking back on the ceremony at the end of the game.

Oh yea, then the beatdown. One reporter called it Cam's 3 hour party with 75,000 of his closest friends.

I hadn't heard this, but I freaking love it. Hopefully we will have 10 more parties with Cam and Co. next season!

I liked the countdown at the end. The collective 3....2.....1.....erupt!

The awesome thing about that moment was that it was completely spontaneous. It started at 6 and literally the whole stadium started at one time. It wasn't a fade in at all. With 8 seconds left, it was just a general crowd buzz. Then two seconds later, the entire stadium began counting down the last six seconds. It was fugging magical

my abdomen is still sore from screaming my body hollow.

I know man right. I literally had to take a nap on the way home cus I was so spent that I couldn't keep my eyes open. And now today I got sick, presumably from being in the cold. I have various aches and pains from overexertion during the game too. All that to say, it was fugging worth it!

I agree. At the west gate, it was the first time ever that I heard chants outside the stadium. There were some very tired chants going down the ramps, but even the energetic ones during the season died off once you got outside the stadium. Not last night. It was awesome

Interesting.  I had no issues at the north gate.  Got there around 5:40 and was upstairs by 6.  Stood in the concourse watching the afcc game until the 2 minute warning when i heard they were showing it on the big boards and i went to my seat to watch the end of that.

Crazy watching most of the stadium rooting against the pats before our game started.
