I think it's weird to travel the day before from the west coast to the east coast. Obviously these guys do this for a living, but wouldn't Friday make more sense to get aclimated?

I do think the time change is a bit overblown, especially with a 3:40 PST start, but it doesnt' leave a lot of room for error with the plane, weather conditions, etc.

Whatever...... if anything, it tips the advantage to us. It's times like this that I'm so thankful we wrapped up home field advantage.  One less thing to worry about.

Not that it's that much different, but Arizona is only two hours behind us.  They're rebels and don't observe daylights saving time.  I agree with you, but just wanted to throw that little bit of knowledge out there.

But now that we're on standard time and not daylight savings, the time difference is back to 3 hours.  It's 3 hours in the winter, 2 hours in the summer.

Other way around, it's 3 hours in summer, 2 in the winter.

but since clocks don't change for another month or so, it's still at a 2 hour difference right now

Ah, I thought Phoenix was in Pacific.  It's Mountain.  That explains it.  I should have checked.  Sorry for the misinformation.
