Again, with useless hyperbole.  People said the same about Cam at the beginning of the year.  Wilson is part of the reason they won a Super Bowl.  To dismiss him like he just stood on the sidelines is just ludicrous.

Yeah, I don't know of too many quarterbacks that can scramble 15 yards backwards and throw a perfect pass in the back of the endzone while falling and taking a sack. Unless it's Aaron Rodgers throwing up a hail marry.

My biggest takeaway from this?  Confirmation Wilson is a whiny, wannabe leader.  He tries so hard to "rally his troops" but just sounds like someone who can't think of anything else to say and is just trying to convince himself.  "Greatest comeback ever" about 50 times.  Then the first time in this video Allen almost gets him, he tries to push Allen off him and says "Get off me" in a whiny little girl voice.

Also, RR is incredibly respectful.  Calls Pete Carroll "sir" at the beginning of the game and thanks him (assumably for a good game) after the game.  Not much audio from the Panthers side other than pre-game speech and Rivera.

Funny. I was wondering If I was the only one thinking this, when I first saw it!? LOL

It just came off as so phony. And that voice (so unconvincing)!?

But maybe it's just us (shrugs)?

Unfortunately, it's not just you two.  I guess we are no different from other fan bases.  It seems like we have plenty of fans like you and Jawny Blaze, who are huge haters, and dont give people the credit when its due.  I know it happens everywhere, but its still embarrassing when its one of your own.

That's true. But can he stand in the pocket and make that throw repeatedly (especially if he doesn't get rid of it quickly)?....

No so much.

Remember, he did have two interceptions from there (trying the same Ass Wedged Golden Horseshoe nonsense), contributing to the Hawks poor start.

Say what you want about Wilson as a QB.

That's another argument, which I can offer an opinion as well.

However/Now, I'm talking bout this video based off of his teammates reactions and Wilson's voice.

They don't seem inspired, and Wilson's attempted motivation appears superfluous.

He was part and had a role....Seahawks were historically great on D and literally had there QB throw less than all 31 other teams over those 2 years with the offensive focus overall being Lynch.

The post I replied to put Wilson as the key (hyperbole)....which basically insults the core of what got them their.

Seahawks were great over that stretch.  GREAT.  I'm not downplaying them.  Wilson had a role in it but he isn't what stood out about what made them great overall.

that isn't comparable to Cam at any point of his career

But like, honestly, what do you think he should have done?  They were in a 31-0 hole.  No matter how he tried to motivate his teammates, it was gonna sound disingenuous.  Because the situation was so dire.  I mean, he could've gone the "we gotta play for pride" route.  But I doubt that works for most guys when you're in the playoffs and losing means your season is over.  And to be perfectly honest, after all the poo that Russell Wilson has pulled off, I honest to God believe that he really thought they WERE gonna pull off the greatest comeback in history.

I think you're basing a lot of this off Russell THIS YEAR/2nd half Of The Season, when he lost in the divisional rd (and should have lost in first rd).

During those Superbowl runs, Russell was 2nd to the defense and Lynch (which he worked off of). Remember, his defense scored more than the entire Denver team during their Superbowl win, and they did it before he and the offense scored a point.

Difference with Cam (since you brought him up): Newton came into league with a poor defense (28th ranked 1st year, blew games till his 3rd year), with everything thrown on him, and excelled.

Wilson's, situation was entirely different (both situationally, personally and on the field). You have to at least admit that.

I just think that a smarter fan would look at the results of the second half, and that would be enough to keep him from making comments like yours and Jawny Blaze's.  I think its a bad look, but you're entitled to your own opinion.

He could have said: "Come on guys we can do this. Just one score at a time. See; there it is", etc.

Nonetheless, as I said, it was more his voice than anything else.

The blank stares and reactions from his teammates, probably had more to do with his BHAG (Big, Hairy, Audacious, Goal). He just jumped the shark there. This is why I said, he could have been more grounded.

Lastly: Some of you are taking this waaaay too seriously (unless y'all are Wilson fans). This is a vanquished foe/past pain in the ass, who we're flippantly prodding, gigging on, and some folks wanna spoil the party.  Come on now! LOL

But I hear ya.

They're other SMARTER FAN's (Panther fan and non Panther fan alike) who look at Seattle's loss as a blowout/calculated deduction by the coaches, and nothing else.

Seattle lost! And were down over 14 pts with less than 6 minutes left, and never came within 7, mind you tied.  Let's not try to make it any more than what it actually was.

Woulda; coulda; shoulda!

I never thought the Panthers were gonna lose (since you brought me up) BTW.

That was all I got.

That little vid was made to make RW look good. And Rivera, love he said keep rolling after I posted Proud Mary saturday night.

Now there's a song to play at the game. Have Tina Turner pound the drum too.

That has nothing to do with what anything i have said.  I just think you sound dumb criticizing Russell's leadership after he made a valiant effort in bringing his team back in the second half and gave his team a chance to win, even if it was a small chance.  If you want to have a party by picking on Wilson (which is stupid anyways, since winning should be enough of a party), then be better at it, and dont say stuff that makes yourself and other Panther fans sound like ignorant homers.  Do your part and represent your fan base well.

Nah, not takin it too seriously.  Despite being an NC State grad, I often find Wilson and his antics to be annoying nowadays.  I just tend to agree with EightyNine insofar as that I find it a bit embarassing when fellow Panther fans try to unreasonably discredit good players from other teams.  Because the same thing has been done to us for years.

However, after reading your responses, I don't think you're being unreasonable, so my beef is not with you.  And even if it were, my "beefs" are all pretty minor, as I can't be bothered to try too hard to change other's opinions on an internet forum.  We all should know that's a pretty pointless crusade.
