We noped right out of Raliegh and back to KC yesterday for just this reason. Original flight back was supposed to go throguh DC... double-whammy.

I've been out through most of Charlotte. It's not bad at all. Later it may be, but right now it's very manageable.

Started with freezing rain at about 6:30 - 7AM this morning (45 miles east of Raleigh).

It is only rain now, will freeze later and become nothing but a fugging sheet of ice by nightfall.

It's sleeting/raining hard in concord right now.  I really don't care what it does as long as I keep power.  Thankful to have gas logs though.

Nothing but ice east of Raleigh. Couple flurries that lasted minutes... other than that, everything is covered in ice.
