What Cardinals Fans Are Saying

I could be wrong, but I don't really see the field being a big advantage for us other than we are somewhat used to it. I have always considered the offense to have the advantage on fields with footing problems. They know where they are going, and the defense has to be reactive.

Why not just Carsonals? It is the same number of syllables, and you really only need to replace the d with an s.

Because that actually sounds kinda cool.

The Larrinalds?

Too close to the epic quote from waynes world about la renard and being hunted with only her cunning to protect her.

Larrizona Carsonals

Better but still way too contrived.

Panthers have one of the most complete and talented rosters in the NFL. It is an insult to the 9 other pro bowlers working hard every day. I doubt they would appreciate the name.

How about the Kawannolina Camthers?  Then only 8 other pro bowlers would be insulted.

I keed, I keed.

I have to say I am very disappointed in Cardinal fans. I have been waiting for this thread since Sunday, but other than the whole "Camthers" fiasco they give us nothing but actual insight and football knowledge. Fug those guys. I was ready to scoff at their ridiculous ideas of grandeur and the notion that old man Palmer could hang with our boys. *sigh*

Someone should probably tell this guy that we're not the ones coming up with the gameplans. That said:

1. There's not a ton of concern about our defense. I think this is due to a couple of factors. First and foremost, Arizona blitzes more than any team in the NFL (to varying degrees of success). I can't think of a worse QB to blitz than Cam Newton, statistically he has been lights out when it comes to beating the blitz.
- Our defense starts and stops with our ability to defend the run. If Jonathan Stewart imposes his will on first and second down then Cam Newton becomes nearly impossible to stop on third and short. I honestly believe we will be better served not bringing the house at Cam Newton. This is contingent on guys like Gunter and Rucker winning their matchups, I assume Campbell will be double teamed more often than not, so those individual matchups become paramount to our success.

Hey look, this guy gets it.

What the hell, the Cardinals seems to have the most well informed fans we've seen all season long.

Where's the hate? The salt? I need to be ANGRY.

If they're well informed then they know their team will come home with a loss. They're already resigned to their fate.

I actually hate the praise we're getting, we play better when we're getting disrespected with regards to the major networks and especially other teams fans.  That said, they have seen some poo, have muddled through an absolute poo ton of mediocrity for much longer than we have even been a franchise, and have been humbled by that experience (where as Taints fans became insanely insufferable), and on top of that, Arians has them playing the game right.  I feel like we are in for a great game that we will win, but if by some miniscule chance we lose, I have no doubt who I will be pulling for in the super bowl.

    • I’m going with Nick Emmanwori as the pick right now. Charlie Campbell has him ranked 5th on his post combine big board and another safety is needed.
    • That is ridiculous on several levels. First of all you have to spend 90% of your cap space every year so the idea you can just not spend it every year is against the CBA. Secondly your job is to assemble the best team you can for the fans players and team. Not to save money for the owner.  Third many players who are considered great underperform while others like Luvu and Jackson have overperformed. What about a  great player like Derek Brown who was injured and missed all of last year. Was he a waste of money?? Sure pay DK a fools ransom and hope he stays healthy. He didn't even get 1000 yards last year which averages out to 60 yards a game or play all 16 games.  And lets be real, Jones and Watson aren't  great but they aren't being paid that much either. Real glad you aren't the GM.
    • Not necessarily, they very well could just be waiting on the players who will get cut in the coming weeks/months as cap casualties and wanting to have the cap room to be able to offer more than other teams (likely our best shot at finding immediate pass rushing help for next year at this point). Also wouldn't be the end of the world to try and roll some cap into next offseason to have more space to go after bigger FA's. That's a better move than signing guys who really won't help much more than whoever else we can get on minimum or rookie deals.
