Parking

For those looking to try and get out of the area quickly after the game, I would recommend getting a regular cab, there are usually a good amount lined up coming down Morehead after the games. Although it's usually about $5-$10 buck more expensive than a normal Uber fare, it's quicker and often worth the extra few bucks IMHO when you're just trying to get out of downtown after the game and don't want to try and cram yourself on the lightrail.

As for the comments on the lot prices, I always reserve my spot through Parkwiz like some others have stated and noticed the increase in price last week, bit also noticed on my way back to the car after the game that the drive up price for the lot was the same as it's always been, so it may just be Parkwiz jacking up the price, not the lot. I would recommend getting downtown early if you want a  lot space and paying cash, it will be cheaper than Parkwiz I think (someone correct me if this isn't right).

wow SCP thats great - our is up to 50 per person - still not terrible based on where we are and the lots around us but still that seems a lot more fair that jacking it up because you can (like the Panthers)

The family that owns our lot is pretty cool. They will even hold a spot for my friends if they have one available when I call during the week before a game. Obviously they are sold out now. I just bought my 2016 season pass yesterday. Went up to $350 but that's still a hell of a deal.

I would NOT suggest riding without paying for the ticket.  They check on the inbound trains A LOT on gamedays.  A fine for not buying a ticket is about $50......just pay the $3-4 roundtrip and enjoy the day.

lol I would like to see them check tickets outbound after the game. :)

The problem is the lot can sell out via Park Whiz and they won't sell or let anyone park without a Park Whiz pass.  That has happened frequently this year at the lot I park at.  If you buy the pass online it's a guaranteed spot so even if you arrive late they reserve a spot for you.

Gottcha, thanks for that heads up, I was always afraid it was the other way around. In fact, when I showed up last weekend, the lot attendant was worried they already had filled up the lot and I had a reserved space. Most of the times I've parked with Park wiz, they haven't scanned my pass, or even really looked at it, and that's what always concerned me, but when it's the same price as the cash price during the regular season, and I know I'll be earlier than most people just parking with cash, it's never been a concern.

Yeah for the Monday night game against the Colts we arrived late and a traffic cop shut down the road and didn't want to let us through.  He told us that everything was full, but I showed him my pass and that i had a spot reserved.  He didn't want to let me through but after arguing with him that I did have a spot he let me through.  Pulled in and the attendant had a spot waiting on me.

For the Green Bay game I forgot to buy a pass earlier in the week and when I tried the night before they were sold out.  Even though I was there early the next day the attendant wouldn't let me buy a spot because they were all reserved.

The past few years of me parking in the same lot it has never been a problem but with the success of the Panthers this year, I learned my lesson to buy a spot well in advance.
