Parking

Damn... I'm driving from about 3 hours out and didn't even think about how expensive parking might be for this game.  It'll be the first game I've been to since the 2012 home Bucs game and I just remembered it wasn't bad at all then.  Didn't consider the inflated prices for the NFCCG though.

Yeah, some pro tips from the CLT locals would be much appreciated.

Couple of cheap spots down Moorehead street between the 77 overpass and Freedom Dr. $20 this past Sunday. Like a $5 markup from the regular season. Not a long walk at all to the stadium. Otherwise, try to get in a spot near Time Warner Cable arena and walk down (though I don't think you can tailgate. No real room anyway). If you stay and let some of the foot traffic getting out of the stadium leave before you try to get up and leave from your seat, by the time you get back to your car, most of the traffic is moving and getting out is a breeze (unless you're trying to head east back towards the stadium as you're leaving. You're better off heading down towards Freedom Dr and looping around to 85 or 74 that way). Obviously it was more congested this past weekend.

It's not glamorous or big, but there is room for a little tailgate if you can deal. Not enough for a large deal though, so as long as it's your car and maybe one other car, you can set up cornhole boards or a grill or whatever, then you're good.

I work in South Charlotte, I was thinking about parking at the office and calling a cab or uber. Does anyone have experience with this? I got a "quote" on the uber website that said 6-8 dollars one way but I have no experience with them and the limitations on a Sunday night.

Careful with Uber, as they reserve the right to jack up their rate during high traffic events, like this one. Pretty sure they have to disclose that to you on the app before you ride, though.

Take the light rail. Plenty of stops and plenty of parking. Very cheap.

Only problem, a lot of other people will be using it also.

But it makes for a fun ride after a victory!!!!!!!!
