Joe Webb is an absolute MUST re-sign

Having him on the roster opens up at least 1 if not 2 other "extra" spots for say an additional WR or DL due to the amount of positions he plays for us, particularly on ST.

It also allows us to have a 3rd QB every game without having to use up an extra active roster spot on game days.

Nobody is giving him backup QB money, we should be able to offer him just as much as any other team without hurting our cap and no reason for him to want to go anywhere else, he has it great in Carolina.

Re-signing Webb should be really easy. He's been signed for the vet minimum for the last two years and I really don't think anyone else is going to try and give him more. ST players aren't worth more than that and his value as a 3rd QB is honestly pretty minimal and I doubt he's going to win any QB2 battles. He's a great luxury to have and is well worth what we pay him, but I don't know that his value is the same for any other team. Plus he loves it here. I would give him a 2 year deal with a moderate signing bonus this time though.

Yeh, me too. It all depends on how they feel about him and Coleman. I expect that Gettleman will be looking at FAs and draft prospects. I don't believe many FAs from our team will be safe. Knowing that the draft is right after, even if they sign, it may not hold. We could sign Love and then DT could be stacked when we draft. If Getts believes a player is the best, and it's not pointless to draft that position, he brings him in. I expect to come out with 5 draft picks. Look for a trade up. He loves to make moves. No way he keeps all 7 anyway prob.

We traded the 6th pick to Chicago for Allen. The 7th pick could go to Seattle for Norwood, though haven't been able to find the conditions so maybe he hasn't met them since he hasn't played much. From what I have found, doesn't look like we'll get a comp for Hardy because of who we signed (too bad, can you imagine what GMan could do with an extra 3rd rounder). So, we may only have 5 picks.

I want Travis Benjamin. Ginn's speed opens up the offense so much and Benjamin has the same deep threat ability. Cam is throwing dimes down the field. They can coexist next year then Benjamin becomes the deep threat the following year or we re-sign Ginn and use them both again. You can pretty much force deep cover 2 looks with both of them on the outside then dominate the middle of the field with the run game and Olsen when they do.

Thats only if he's cheap though. I wouldn't want to spend much for him. I suspect he will be overpaid by someone because the WR FA class is just awful outside of Jeffrey who probably won't even reach free agency.

Now that's a sleeper I would def like on the team.

He returns punts too?

Yes he does. The problem is that he's not a sleeper. He's a top 5 FA WR this year. Normally he'd be around 15. Just an awful FA WR class. Someone is probably going to pay him $4-5M and that is just too much for him.

Mike Wallace is going to get cut, but he is too old, too expensive and too much of a diva.

Who we need to keep (in order of importance):  Norman, Tolbert, Webb, Nortman, Love. All but Josh should be cheap.

There's a real good chance that Harper, Tillman, and Finnegan will retire anyway, but if not, let them try out. Harper had his best season with us, and Tillman played very well until his initial injury. I hope he fully recovers and comes back (cheap). There won't really be room for Finnegan when Bene comes back. I think Bene is on the cusp of being a really good CB (especially at the nickel)

I agree. There's no downside here. He plays every aspect of ST well, and is a #3 QB and a WR in a pinch. Most importantly, no one is likely to pay him big money. The only way he leaves is if another team is desperate to pick him up as a #2 QB.
