If the league is truly trying to progress more to a family friendly environment at the stadium, then banning giving balls away to kids would be the most asinine thing they could do.

I see it happening for safety reasons (as an excuse) when every kid in the stadium starts flooding the stairs every time the home team are in the red zone.
