Snow Storm Saturday?

Bad weather would be a HUGE advantage this weekend.

Not only does this years team have a lot of practice with that as we played in a bunch of bad weather games, but it would take away any advantages the Cards have with their WRs vs our DBs

Bring on the snow and/or rain, please......

Welcome to the Carolina's in January.

Sometimes this happens in late Nov. through December. Always January and February. Cold wet icy soil. Makes for some old school football, and speed teams will suffer. This is big boy football. Leave your track spikes at home.

Conditions that fluctuate between 30 to 40 degrees in snow/rain conditions is what causes the soft turf. The lower layer of soil tends to stay frozen while the upper layer thaws causing the grass to give in the thawed layer and not the frozen layer below. This also leads to the top layer of soil becoming more saturated with water. Then if the temperatures drop a few degrees into freezing the upper layer of soil becomes slick and icy.

I do not think any other team in the league is in an area that has turf conditions like the Carolinas in the winter (maybe Tennessee). The Panthers practice outside on a field with those conditions.

Home field advantage!
