Yeah 50 million is a joke. You could tell in that movie how little they had to work with. Hopefully a 100/150 million budget for the sequel will make it better but could make it worse idk

Lot's of people make a big to-do about the budget.  Deadpool doesn't need a budget for the sake of a bigger budget.  The thing that made this go was the writing and the hands-off nature of the filming.  Everything about this film was about saying "fu-q" to the rules.  Like anything else of this genre, it tends to be a one-time deal.  Sadly, all other attempts to re-create it normally come up short.

Something just a bit more in this kind of direction would be a Spawn adaptation that would look far more like a philosophical horror show/detective noir than another comic book adaptation.  Then again, DC may have beaten Marvel to that punch with how Suicide Squad is looking.

Looks like I'll have to find a more obscure Deadpool character to go to Comic Con. I'm sure there will be a handful of Deadpool Elsas

Uhhh, Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn? I've been doing pelvic thrusts ever since I saw her in character.

Just saw it. Whoa mama. These type films where the director etc get to make what they want, that is good, is extremely hard to replicate.  Lightning in a bottle.

The surrealism is what i liked. It was like watching a human cartoon.  Trippy man.

Honestly not a fan of her at all for that particular character. Hopefully the movie ends up being good in spite of it.

Might've misunderstood you here, but Spawn isn't Marvel nor DC.  He's Image Comics... and basically the character that kickstarted and "spawned" Image.  Image is also the same publisher that does The Walking Dead.

It was a comment on a comparably known property with a direction that is skewed enough to capture this breadth of audience with a hard R rating if done correctly
