Cam has more fun playing this game than anyone I've seen since Brett Farve when he played for GB. He's enjoying himself while he dominates the best of the best in football. Does it get a little old sometimes? Yeah, it does. But if I was able to do what he does, yeah, I'd probably be celebrating like that too.

Sounds like the same poo we've been hearing for most of the year.  They can never wait to see Cam with his towel over his head, blah, blah, blah.  Every week they have to eat more crow.  It never has happened.  Not the entire season.  It didn't even happen in our lone loss to the Dirty Birds.  It gives me such pleasure watching these people hate Cam for no logical reason and then becoming increasingly desperate and bitter after every Panthers win.   Followed by them trying again and again and again to predict a loss and a Cam/Panthers team meltdown from the loss.  These are miserable human beings.  Must suck to walk around with such bitterness in your heart for no good reason.  I don't envy them.  There is no player in any sport that has EVER had that effect on me.  I mean I disliked Vick during his Atlanta days, mostly because we couldn't stop him, but I never personally HATED him.  I actually felt bad for his poor choices that nearly destroyed his career but I am happy that he turned his life around and has had no repeat offenses.  I hate the Saints, but I don't personally hate one of their players.

One of my managers at work today said "Im so sick of the Panthers" I asked him why. He said he cant stand Cam. Said he's an arrogant showboater.  I said so you are going to just ignore all the good he does for the community and through his foundation. The fact that he goes out of his way to make a kid feel so special and happy after every touchdown. I said he is just having fun out there. What is the crime? His response was "Im just old school and I dont like showboaters. You score a touchdown just hand the ball back to the ref" I was like yeah Im sure nobody back in your ancient times showboated at all. Hes a dolphins fan. He's lived in NC his whole life but jumped on the Dolphins bandwagon during the Don Shula era

I'm so done with ignorant statements made by people who don't even try to understand who Cam is. It's pathetic that so many people harbor so much hate in this world. We are forever doomed as a society because of this ignorance that is so wide spread (not just referring to the ignorance surrounding Cam).

I don't.  I don't really understand why so many obsess about players on other teams.  Unless its someone like Burfict who goes out of his way to hurt other players, or some Ray Rice type, I don't really care that much one way or the other.  If they are on an opposing team, they are the enemy, but its nothing personal.

Other people's kids are obnoxious and undisciplined. Yours are just "playful" and "rambunctious".

For all we know, Matt Ryan is a nice guy. But he's a rival and he once told us to get the @#$% off his field, so he's a complete a--hole and always will be.

I get why it happens. Yeah, it's silly, but the vast majority of fans either can't or won't separate the person from the player.

Yeah I hear you Scot.  'The vast majority of fans' must be idiots.  However,  personally I still don't hate Matt Ryan.  Why would I?  He might be an asshole, but I don't really think he is.  He likely just got caught up in the heat of that very intense game which was against a divisional rival team.  Who knows what was being said by our guys to him and his team during the war.  It takes way too much energy to hate someone.  I was absolutely pissed at the time he told us to get the &$#@ off our field.  However, mostly due to us  choking that game  (thanks Nakamura) away and putting him and the Falcons in a position to talk poo with that pathetic collapse.  I am sure that he is a fierce competitor like most NFL players and likely just got caught  up in the heat of the moment.  It was absolutely classless and I would never want our players doing that to another team, but it was what it was, and is old news in 2016.  I don't hate Matt Ryan.  Besides, we have more than gotten our revenge with our dominance of the Falcons and the NFC South :)  

I wonder if 'the vast majority of fans'  you eluded to,  have not played much team sports and don't have a clue about the intensity and emotions that occur while battling an opponent in a sport.  They apparently also don't understand that athletes celebrate accomplishments and actually have fun while playing a game.  It is called a game for a reason.  Sarcasm on.  Shame on Cam Newton for celebrating during and after games.  I hate showboats!  Sarcasm off.  Seriously I would love to see a poll of the college team that all these haters follow.  I believe that much of the hate might actually be driven by college rivalries.

There are definitely plenty of people who hate players for the college they went to. Sports fans have long memories.

But there's also a question of effort too.

Do you care enough to find out whether you're right or wrong about Matt Ryan?  I doubt it. It's not really worth the effort. So, like most of us you'll just go by what you see on the field. If you're wrong, so what? It's not really that big a deal.

Likewise, I doubt many opposing fans care enough to find about whether Cam Newton is actually a nice guy or not.

I find their opinions silly because I know more about Cam, but in all fairness I don't care enough about their players to find out whether they're good guys or not.
