I like how those sh!ty teams always think they have a franchise QB just because they draft them high in the 1st round. Wait till Mariota's contract year(4th year) come along. Good points.

Two things though:

1) Marriota's young enough (one season) to where he can still get better. So though I understand where you're coming from (nothing special in the big scheme of things), we still gotta give him time.

2) I agree Andrew Luck's overrated. And he's benefited from playing in an easy division, so this helped masked the fact he can't pass so well against good teams....Agreed.

However, their owner Irsay's been and idiot and an accomplice in all this by believing the hype (remember, he expected them to go to the Superbowl almost every year after their blowout by the Patriots)?

So though I think Irsay should be tough with Luck (he's been injured and sucked this year, along with his penchant for INT's during his career). Chances are he'll continue to kiss his ass, and give him a contract he probably doesn't have to, just to make himself feel better that he has a good thing (not saying Luck's not good-or has potential. He's just overrated).

Those GMs don't wanna acknowledge failure when they draft those QBs high, unless they find an immediate replacement that keeps them contending. Pagano, sounded like he actually wanted to hold Luck to fire (when he said 'Luck should be used to the bad OL by now'). And he appeared to want to build the team from the inside out as well. However management must have felt otherwise, always wanting the new shiny, more fragile things on offense.
