Seriously, how is Chicago just now going into the RnR HoF?

Can we please stop with the "why isn't this band in, why isn't that band in" nonsense.  Nobody would care about the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame if all the good bands went in all at once.

If all the good band were in already who would be on the ballot right now?  N'Sync and the Backstreet Boys?  So enjoy the fact that they are dragging this out.  And, don't worry, all the good band will get in eventually.

Went to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame this summer. Was thoroughly disappointed. Waste of money and time, but they can pack the crowds in -- it was like one of those festival concerts where they prop up an old pop singer and get him to belt out three or four hits and pad the rest with local never made it bands.

Did get to see The Wall props from Pink Floyd and Joe Strummer's guitar from London Calling, so that was good.

Went a few years ago during a bye week.  I actually liked the RnR HOF more than Canton at the time.  They had a big Rolling Stones exhibit at that top pinnacle bit which was really cool.  Plus they had the finals of their national cover band competition going on which was also a blast to watch with my dad.

    • Yeah but jumping up in the draft to get a project #2/3 WR is just plain not smart. I am down on XL because the thought was that he could be a potential #1 WR and he has been anything but that so far. Also, the idea of him as a slot is even more upsetting because you pass on several more productive slot guys(McConkey being the most obvious) that were TREMENDOUSLY more NFL ready. I was not a fan of the XL move at the time and I am not a fan of the decision in short term hindsight either. He is just simply going to have to be a guy that proves it on the field to me. McMillian was my #1 WR in this draft and I was a pro-McMillian guy. However, he isn't gonna get treated with baby gloves either. We are in the era of rookie WR's putting up 1k+ yd seasons with regularity. He's going to(barring injury) have to be one of the top 2 or 3 WR's in this class in terms of production. And that's being very generous to him. He really needs to be THE guy from this class. It isn't like he is gonna have a lot of guys taking catches away from him.
    • Thought this was an interesting moment of candor. See the 2:00 min mark. TD said he made the decision that he wanted T-Mac as our 1st round pick back in January. Dan chimed in and said he made the decision early as well (indicating the same time frame).
