2nd Half is on me

thanks for owning up to it Catfan.  I was starting to think it was my fault, glad to hear it wasn't.  

The wife had our first child this weekend and Baby's first half of 'watching' nfl football was the 31-0 half.  we checked out and left hospital at half time...... got home and had it turned back on for the final 3 minutes.

Claussens always left a bad taste in my mouth.  They never finished strong no matter how many times you gave them chances.

 

  I may be at blame for this second half guys.  I finished my last beer at halftime and ordered soda from then on.

  Perhaps it's that or maybe because governor McCrory came and talked for awhile on our row during halftime.  I don't want to talk politics though so I don't think that's it and I won't accept that being the reason since it was for good intentions.  It was nice to see him recognize and share his time with a veteran who lost many comrades and a leg during service.

  What may have really been the nail in the coffin was the lady in front of my had worn her jacket zipped the entire game until halftime.  This being the same jacket she wore in the stadium in '96 and '03 but only those years.  We rubbed it for good luck constantly in the first half but none in the 2nd.

My only response, when the teams came out for the 2nd half, and bad things immediately began to happen, was:

"Oh God, please don't let this crap be happening again.  PLEASE?"

God ignored me.

I have done my job ever since my one screw up vs Atl.  My Christmas gear will wait until next season and I will do a test run in the preseason.  but the Atl shirt will likely never been worn on game day.....ever.

I took my JNO jersey off at half to burp the baby and didn't put it back on til midway through the 4th. My bad, folks!

Yeah, i had a new thomas davis jersey on for the atlanta game...that thing is benched until next year.  None of my other jerseys have lost this year.  I wont even touch that jersey now.

As soon as Mt. Olive or Vlassic start making the greatest (commercial)pickle I've ever tasted I'll toss the clausens.  Till then, sorry guys, you're gonna have to go on this journey without me.

I blamed my parents. My mom and dad showed up at halftime and we weren't the same after. I told them their stench of losing (Dallas and Minnesota fans, respectively) has rubbed off on my boys. We only allow winners in our house. :)
