All this turf talk is nonsense.

This rabble about the Panthers turf and how it played a role in the Panthers victory is complete nonsense.

The Panthers had it covered for the rain that fell overnight.

I walked on the turf pregame, it was in the best shape it had been for weeks.

The Seahawks had over two hours to warm up on the turf. If they didn't wear the correct spikes on their cleats, they can only blame themselves.

Also, the Panthers players walked on that turf for the first time Sunday morning as well. They do not practice on it. They do not do anything on it during the week as it is getting painted and prepped for the weekend.

Not sure where this silly talk started, but you can chalk it up to one of the more dumb controversies of the season, right behind butthurt Tennessee mom and Bannergate.

I agree that it didn't provide any advantage, but it looked like the field went through a damn blender.

Seattle players, their fans, and supporters in the media can't get over the fact that they lost to the better team (Panthers beat the 2X in a row)!!

That's all it is. So they keep making "whatever" crazy excuses.

It's sod, natural turf -- it tears up. And it's not like when Carolina had the ball they got to switch fields and play on an artificial turf or something.

And it isn't like the old Philly stadium where the seams in the carpet were so bad that they threatened to swallow up players. Now that was a home field advantage. Rumor has it that when they tore down that stadium, two Cincinnati Bengals special teamers were found under the carpet, having been lost in at 1989 night game. It almost inspired a remake of CHUD.

They needed something to talk about since they're beloved Seahawks weren't doing so hot.  Both teams lined up on the same field, but it only affected the visitors?  I love how the baristas over at Seahawks.net are bitching about it like they personally were on the field and can attest to how atrocious the conditions were.  Seattle....you lost, deal with it.   You're not entitled to the SB every year.

Like I said earlier.

What's forgotten is: You lost two games in a row during the same season, home and away  (and one in the playoffs) to the Panthers. So you were not the better team anyway you slice it Seattle.

For real.

Omg its below 0°

Omg the field is wet

Omg its snowing

Omg its raining

Omg its windy

Both teams play in the same conditions. It's ridiculous to make excuses from things you can't control. Unless they make every stadium a Dome these guys need to STFU about conditions. You play with whatever kind of weather and conditions your given no excuses.
