1994, I was thirteen. My mom bought me my first Starter jacket. I can't remember, but I guess Panther merchandise went on sale early. Anyway, I was walking home with some friends and some guys pulled up in a car.

The passenger asked me for directions. The next thing I know, they hop out the car and surround me. A guy from the backseat gets out and stands next to me. The guy was so big I only had a view of his torso as he stood next to me.

The passenger told me to give up the coat. I replied "hell no!" .  A struggle ensued. A couple guys were chasing my friends as they RAN (thug life). The giant torso suckered punched and joined in on the heist.

I fought for dear life to trying to hold on to that jacket. I felt the jacket slipping over head and a voice spoke. "Let it go or they'll just keep pounding" the voice said.  They snatched the coat, hopped in the car and sped off into the darkness.

Been a fan ever since :)

Boarded a plane headed for Saudi Arabia the morning after it was announced we were awarded a team.  Was probably only 5 of 100, 336th Rocketeers on that flight who gave a damn but one guy had a home-made sweatshirt and what few of us cared raised hell all the way to The Cliffs of Dover.

I was 11 when I became a Panthers fan. I remember it like it was yesterday sitting on my mom's waterbed with my older brother(RIP) with my recently purchased full-sized Riddell replica helmet that I had bought with Christmas money, and watching the inaugural game.

96 really cemented my fandom with the season they had I remember being pissed as hell at the Jags for stealing our shine though.I still unreasonably hate them to this day because of it.

I was working at the circuit city by UNCC during that game.  We had it on all the televisions in the store.  When overtime began, pretty much all the customers and employees stopped what they were doing and congregated around different TVs. We didn't get anything accomplished until about ten minutes after smitty made it to the end zone.

I'll never forget that game
