I don't think we saw anything that suggests that it's going to move down to 1.5, at all. The public basically saw us crush Seattle (although we didn't)

And they saw Arizona nearly lose to GB, thats what is fresh on their minds.

So it has a better chance of going to -4

Although we didn't?! We most certainly did. The score was closer than the game would indicate, and if Ron & Co. didn't take Cams foot off the gas we would've won by 28 or more. I'm struggling to understand why you dislike/don't believe in a team you root for. Perplexing.

Carolina early 3.5 favorite.

I can see it moving down to 1.5 or two by next week.

Actually sounds about right to me for a line. But I will take the Panthers and give the points, please.

The line should be 5.

I can state why for a multiplicity of reasons. But if they made Seattle 3. Then Arizona (though they may be a better team than Seattle) should be a 5 pt underdog vs Carolina.

Seattle's defense normally doesn't give up the big stuff (though they always seem to do it against the Panthers in all phases). I could see the Panthers offense throwing more downfield in this game. And the DL, should actually get to Palmer with some of those sacks (and they still got Wilson 5X).

Nonetheless, the Panthers should play well against this team next week at home.

Arizona is blitz happy.  If we protect well enough, we can exploit man coverage.

I do prefer the matchup with a less mobile qb like palmer who has little playoff experience over wilson who is mobile and very clutch in the playoffs in his short career.

The Seahawks struggled in 3 of their last 4 games.  Their one good performance was against Arizona.  Lets hope that means something positive for us.

It means we're as good as three of the last four teams they've played.

We can run on AZ at will. Their run defense looks terrible. Stew should run hog wild out there. We can throw easily into their secondary due to the fact that they have to blitz to generate any pressure at all. Pick up the blitz and Cam should have a great time.

I was more worried about Seattle because they were the second best NFC team in the playoffs, and Wilson can scramble to make plays. Thank goodness Seattle had a terrible first half. AZ is not as good as Seattle, and Palmer is immobile. TD and Short are going to hammer Palmer a few times, and after that he's going to start throwing picks.

What worries me? Some of our DBs suck and that will allow Palmer to get some dink and dunk and keep some drives alive. We're trying to put former 7th round picks with below average talent into starting positions in the secondary, and QBs are targeting them like crazy. That worries me.

We've done well against QB's who stand in the pocket and try to read and react.  The only time statuesque QB's do well against us are guys who do timing routes (Dalton comes to mind).  For us, I know we were afraid of putting pure speed rushers out there against Wilson because of the possibility of losing contain (which we did a few times), but next week I feel we need to pass rush like crazy because I don't think David Johnson is gonna be able to beat us with Star, KK, Luke, and TD roaming around clogging his run lanes.  Just like I was concerned for this game, I'm really concerned about McClain having to cover Floyd or Brown, he was as big of a reason for the Seahawks second half as anything that the Seahawks actually did.  On offense, test that run defense that just got run over by freaking eddy lacy and force them to load the box.
