It was not Shula, it was Rivera putting the breaks on the team. Both sides of the ball went into prevent. It won us the game though so really cant say much. All I know was Cam was pissed and they caught it on audio on the TV.

16-1 and headed to the Championship Game. That should be cause for rejoicing. Not all this whiney crybaby crap. Every kid with a hurt butt has to start a thread and make sure everyone knows.

 

We made the Final Four. I, and plenty of others, are tickled pink. We beat the hawks, that should be enjoyable on its own.

Agree about the offense but I do think that the defensive playcalling overall was satisfactory. Wilson pulled his typical miracle plays out of his ass (blind TD heave barely over Norman's fingertips, Lockett's catch along the sidelines, etc.) but the pressure was steady and their receivers were fairly well contained.

The Norman CB blitz was maybe ill-advised, but Wilson is a pretty good QB and took advantage. Other than that, the goal was to make them eat clock if they were going to score and that's exactly what happened. Any other QB left in the playoffs would have spent a lot of time on their back under that rush.

Seattle was going to get theirs - there was no way their offense wasn't going to score. If Carolina's offense establishes ONE drive that nets points and the defense plays exactly the same, the final score is likely 34-17 or even more favorable. Seattle got a very lucky break with that first TD, but beyond that the defense made them earn it. 

It seems like the same 'meltdown', but i don't think it was and I have minimal issue with the defense today.

Didn't know. Giving any minuscule criticism counted as flipping out. But guess that's all relative. We're ya ever military. Heard of an AAR? Good or bad outcome, you do it.

here's the problem I had- whenever we finally did have them in third down- it would be third and 2 and we'd be sitting 10 yards off them- you can't have that 

I'll agree that the pressure was pretty good which is a great omen moving forward because that was my biggest concern
