David Newton acknowledges he's known as a Cam hater

Doesn't Cam have more Passing TD's (albeit by not much)? And his team's the #1 scoring offense with with a lead leading15 wins? Doesn't Wilson's team only have 10 wins, in comparison?

The irony of the question: If you look at Sporting News, AP All Pro, Sport Illustrated MVP's, etc...Many times Wilson's not even in the top Top 4-5 (especially with Non QB's and defensive players; he drops more) position. So the question was really out merit IMO.

And of course, this ignores that fact that Newton's winning these awards BIG, vs Wilson's pittance of first place votes if any.

And Newton is a hater (or he doesn't know how to watch football). He just jumped on the Camwagon when it was safe to (especially covering them). But before then; he couldn't see what was going on.

Plus: How in the world do you do that, when you cover the Presumptive (probably near Unanimous) MVP is on your beat?

Strange.

He acts as if those 10 rushing TD's are just small stat that really don't mean that much.  I hope he's wearing protection as much as he's riding Wilson's tic-tac.

Yeh, I don't get that.

MVP means Most Valuable PLAYER, not Most Valuable PASSER. He is second in TD passes and FIFTH in rushing TDs. Top 5 in both categories......and there is still a question on whether he gets it??? He is like 80% of our offensive production. Not to mention his affect on the other 20%. (Read-option, or just the threat) It's a joke to even vote for someone else. An absolute joke.

Edit: Imagine if they went back and factored in all the drops that happened. Cam's completion percentage would go up, his pass TDs would lead the league, and his yards would increase.

Man both these f*cking guys are retarded. I see the conversation between Newton and the Seahawks guy going like the one between Steve Carell and the guy from the hangover in Dinner for Schmucks. Anybody who's been watching the games knows Cam has been playing better than anybody in the league, and stats don't even tell half the story. Oh wow Seahawks idiot Wilson has a better completion percentage! Who gives a f*cking sh*t? Watch the fuging players you moron. Wilson plays in a quick pass spread offense, Cam plays in a Shula ball offense. And his receivers have double the drop percentage the Seaturkeys have. Seahawks D is #1 in the league this year, Panthers got worked on by the Aints and the Giants recently, Cam had to carry the team to wins. Dumbassess. I typically ignore this stuff but felt like throwing this out there.

See. That's it right there.

Newton's either a hater, or he doesn't know how to watch and evaluate football games and players.

The irony of all this: Wilson's team won a game they shouldn't have won, where Wilson did virtually nothing the entire game, except for a broken play which lead to a TD the next series.

Nonetheless, he's been praised. And you still here stuff like this coming off that game.

However, if Cam played the same game (remember he had several rain games early in the season, no one noticed or cared) in the playoff's.  His critics would only pick on his poor game, instead of hailing him a hero for the undeserved win-such as Wilson.

The real story is: Cam's passing stats are as good as anyone's as well (especially when you factor in his receivers and the weather). So I almost feel many of these guys go to his rushing stats, to actually negate Cam; not help him!

Cause you can win an argument talking about Cam's passing alone.

David Newton is a tool. Beyond the fact that he does not know football, he does not know anything about the Panthers other than what he overhears while real reporters are asking questions, or reads something interesting on this very board.

What really bothers me though, is the way he talks during his videos. every sentence is followed by a pause, and ends in a weird inflection change. Who talks like that? Did he learn that in shitty reporter school? Do they have training classes at ESPN that teach there reporters how to talk like an absolute toolbag?

Cam lead the NFL in 3 stats....and by a margin large enough anyone suggesting someone has a statistical edge of him should be slapped.

Stat 1:  Wins - Cam lead his team to 15 wins

Stat 2 - Touchdowns - Cam lead the NFL

Stat 3 - First downs - Cam lead the NFL

the degree to which he lead the NFL in those 3 hands down makes him the MVP WITH the statistical edge over anyone else.  You can have a better completion percentage and do a poorer job moving your team and scoring......which is what people have done.  In the game of football that doesn't make you better but the goal is to move your team into the endzone.  Cam is the number one chain mover and scorer.

Just wanted to update you. I was in an argument with my fiance over the guest list at our wedding.  I made an emphatic point and farted as I walked out of the room.  She didn't talk to me for like 6 hours.

Everybody has completely swept his 4 INT performance at home vs GB in the Championship Game last year under the rug and act like he carried them to the Super Bowl the past 2 years. He actually lost the Super Bowl for them.

And in the only one he won: His defense scored more points than the entire Bronco offense. And they scored all those points before the Seattle offense scored their first. As a matter of fact, a Seattle defender won MVP.

But somehow I have a feeling, if you were to ask the average casual or Seattle fan "who won Superbowl MVP" then, they would tell you Wilson. SMH

It's not to say Wilson's not good (especially lately). But it's more to says, he's been on the perfect team for him in so many ways; especially to still get the kind of praise he does, even when undeserved.

I thought I was the only one that noticed that he pauses after every sentence. LOL!

David Newton is a very strange dude and should not be covering any football team.
