David Newton acknowledges he's known as a Cam hater

He starts off by asking a Seahawks reporter if Russell Wilson should be the MVP over cam. Really David? We all know your infatuation with Wilson given you went out of your way to say that he showed Cam what a franchise qb looks like last year. The Seahawks reporter basically says Wilson deserves it without saying it and David responds.

Newton: First, that would be “The Year of the Dab." Second, if I told you why you’re wrong then I’d become Public Enemy No. 1. Some people already think I’m a Cam-hater, even though I’ve been touting him as the MVP since midseason. But I can’t argue with your points. Statistically, other than Newton’s 10 rushing touchdowns to Wilson’s one, Wilson holds the advantage. Wilson has had a career season, just like Newton.

I swear we have some of the worst reporters covering this team. It's sad.

Man both these f*cking guys are retarded. I see the conversation between Newton and the Seahawks guy going like the one between Steve Carell and the guy from the hangover in Dinner for Schmucks. Anybody who's been watching the games knows Cam has been playing better than anybody in the league, and stats don't even tell half the story. Oh wow Seahawks idiot Wilson has a better completion percentage! Who gives a f*cking sh*t? Watch the fuging players you moron. Wilson plays in a quick pass spread offense, Cam plays in a Shula ball offense. And his receivers have double the drop percentage the Seaturkeys have. Seahawks D is #1 in the league this year, Panthers got worked on by the Aints and the Giants recently, Cam had to carry the team to wins. Dumbassess. I typically ignore this stuff but felt like throwing this out there.

From another thread (that no one cared about) here are Cam and Wilson's numbers over the last 8 games of the season.

Cam Newton           164/250 2017 yards 21 TDs 1 INT, 59 rushes 293 yards 5 Touchdowns, Record 7-1

Russell Wilson        168/249 2146 yards 25 TDs 2 INT, 45 rushes 250 yards 1 Touchdown, Record 6-2

So its safe to say that Newton's numbers are nearly identical to Wilson during the stretch where everyone was saying that Wilson was the hottest thing in the NFL.  And for those of you wondering the first 8 games are pretty similar as well, with Cam's being slightly better in most categories (especially wins).  I think given what people thought of the Panthers going into the season and what we were able to accomplish as a team I think Cam wins the MVP hands down.  And this just goes to show that even if you look at the stats Wilson still can't move past Cam.

And David Newton is a tool.  As is Person and Jonathon Jones.

lol..  the 10 rushing TDs is just sort of brushed off as "no big deal".

David Newton is a hack.  He figures that he gets more clicks and page views when he throws shade on Cam,  opposed to when he writes a pro Cam article.             I've grown weary of the shtick.

In all fairness he is an ESPN reporter, which basically means you know nothing about sports and can get away with misspellings and incorrect information. Exhibit A: Rick Reilly. Any network which employs that incredible pantload cant be taken seriously.
