More like how far Rivera has come since the days of making us break out the pitchforks and torches :)

Yup Yup

Rivera. got better!

And I'm glad he's free to admit it. So I'll give him a pass for not defending Cam more often in those early years when Newton received unnecessary flak (the way good coaches should). But I guess, Rivera was more concerned about getting his own house in order, and learning to be a good coach? LOL

Looks like I get to be the asshole.

I've had serious reservations about Rivera for the last few years. His ability to put together great seasons but never to string them back to back reminds me all too well of John Fox. I think the 2016 season is Rivera's last chance to establish himself and the Panthers as consistent winners.

That said, I'm proud of the introspective and dynamic approach to coaching Rivera has taken.

WTF are you talking about? Before Rivera, No team in the NFC South had ever won the division two years in a row. Under Rivera the Carolina Panthers have won it three times! Last year, Cam was injured even before the start of the season and also was in a vehicle accident and busted his ribs, but we still managed to win the division and a playoff game. I guess someone has to be a troll! GTFO with that nonsense.

The growth of Ron as a coach and the patience that Jerry had with him.......

JR deserves a lot of credit.  Doing things the right way is the Panther Way.

Rivera is refreshing both as a coach and a person.  He is not afraid to admit his mistakes and then work very hard to learn from them.  I hope he is the Panther head coach for a long time.

Great Article thank you for sharing. I love Coach Rivera. I remember after that Buffalo Game how mad I was a Josh Norman for that touchdown and Rivera for not going for it the drive before. Im so happy with both now. We really have a good group of guys and a Great coach.

If my math is correct we are 35-13-1 since that game.  Testament to CRR.  I really thought ewe would crash and burn after that day

Suck your mother off if you are proud of a 7-8-1 season.

6 teams in NFL history went 15-1 before us this year, only 2 did better. Rivera brought us to 15-1 with KB going down at the beginning of the year, Luke going down, Star being hurt, Ginn, Philly, Stew, Kalil, Norwell, Tillman, Bene, Charles Johnson, Coleman, and probably more I'm forgetting all getting hurt at some point this season.

Last season had plenty of rough moments...

But do not forget that we were still digging out the salary cap hole that Hurney put us in.  We were making due with what we could afford, having to start several rookies to fill holes left by unimpressive veterans (Godfrey, Decoud, Cason, etc.).  The fact that we were able to fight through that and stay focused enough to make a run for the division title is incredible, especially considering the number of new faces this team had.  Ron's leadership kept this team focused.  He led a team destined for 4-12 to 7-8-1 and a division title.

With that being said...please grow up.
