last year when cats were playing Hawks. WRAL ran a special interest story ion Russell Wilson.  Why. Because he played one year for state .

One year? WTF? He played one year for Wisconsin. He was at State for 4 years and played 3 seasons.

WJZY is also the unofficial Panthers station and broadcasts most of the team's games. I'd say a little more Panther bias is called for, all things considered.

Yep. Wilson played one year and got pissed that the State coach would not let him play minor league baseball  so he took his Jesus juice to Wisconsin

He continues to hold a few youth camps in the NC and VA area in offseason so the Pack faithful hold to that

This isn't normal in other places. Stop trying to brush it off by downplaying it because you'd rather not confront the reality that local businesses and news agencies are stuck in 1998.

It doesnt make you edgy. "Hah like why do you care brah? Be cool like me I don't care I'm a carefree guy without a care in the world*

I personally think things like this and the pep rallies for other teams are legitimate gripes. When we take our fans to other cities we have to fight to find a place that will accommodate us. I get told no 10 times before I finally find a place. And the place I do find usually isn't the entertainment hub in the center of town like the Epicentre is. News crews don't contact us in ATL and want to hear how many Panthers fans we're bringing. The JAX TV stations weren't impressed that we bought up all of their damn pools. I keep seeing the comments like "RR does this in other cities"....NO. No city caters to us. We work hard to try and make it happen. That's the difference. Charlotte celebrates this kind of poo

I don't have a problem with other teams' fans being here, but having our city and businesses roll out the red carpet for them is complete BS.

This does not happen in major sports markets that are taken seriously. It doesn't. Why do we roll over and play dead and think it's cool to let it happen here? We fight to change the culture in this fan base and do things so that we're taken seriously, and then I get on here and our own fans are trashing people who don't think this kind of thing is cool. Guess what.....YOU are the ones who are wrong...not those bothered by this.

How many glowing write ups does the Roaring Riot get in the opposing teams hometown newspapers/newscasts?

It isn't a glowing write up unless you have a different definition of glowing. It barely gets beyond the fact that there is a group of people from Seattle who get together for games. It says he gets flipped off and cussed at for it and they expect a tough game.

I appreciate our fans speaking out.   Problem is more than just those on the huddle need to feel the same way.

It's not so much about whining as it is creating some elbow room in your own home town..

Throw some elbows people..   The more we grow as a fan base the more we own our town.

The more we hide in the corner and try to take the "high road" (however that's supposed to work), the more businesses/media are going to cater to opposing fans..

That's what's sad.  It's pathetic actually..

The article doesn't mention anything about the business or establishment they meet up at.
