Cue and queue are two completely different words.

 

A cue is a signal, of something that designates a place in a recording.

Queue is a line, or the act of waiting in line.

You know what's amazing about all this?  Other team's fans STILL refuse to acknowledge Cam as a great QB.  I mean just about anybody in the universe that knows anything about football realize how good Cam is but these idiots can't.

To be fair, there are a number of examples in American publishing where "cue" is used in place of "queue" even if it is technically a mistake to do so.

Surprisingly enough, the words share very little history.
