Fug Seattle, their horrible music taste (besides Heart), horrendous trends, their hipster douche bag egos, $10 cup of bullshit coffee and their communist tendencies.

Nirvana and Costco are pretty cool though. And Amazon Prime too. And 9 Yards Brewery in Bothel is tight.

But the rest sucks.

The Seahawks finally cracked .500 as a franchise for the first time in their "storied" history this past December. To be fair, it took Carolina almost two seasons in the NFL to accomplish that feat. Seattle also won its first division title in its 12th year (origin of the 12?)...again, it took Carolina 2 years to accomplish that. Sure, we are 3 games under .500 now, but a run to a Superb Owl win would put us at exactly .500. Seattle calling us "new" to winning is not only laughable on its face, but coming from them, it borders on comical.

You're not counting past playoff games where we are 7-6. We'd be 1 game over .500 all time if we win the superbowl.

Panther fan: Wilson sucks from the pocket, he's not a real QB
Seahawk Fan: He has a 118.6 QB rating from the pocket, highest in NFL
Panther Fan: Uuuhhh thats because he's captain checkdown
Seahawk Fan: He has a 8.33 yard per attempt average, 4th in NFL
Panther Fan: Stats are stupid, CAM IS A GOD!!!

I would love to see Wilson's passing numbers broken down into categories. Passes from inside the pocket vs.    rollouts and scrambling. I would be willing to bet that the second category has a huge effect on that 8.33 YPA, and    his completion percentage. Iv'e watched some of Wilson's downfield passes while standing in the pocket, most of which were off target. If you think about his big plays, most I have seen have come on broken plays or roll-outs. The botched snap play last week, the flea flicker against us, plenty of rollouts in both games accounting for 10+ yard completions.

Hi new poster. Have enjoyed reading your forum since Sunday and thought I would add my $.02. I am a Hawk fan since I was a little scrub. This thread has been hilarious if only because it is true in a lot of ways. We live out in the country (on the Washington coast) so a lot of the common Seattle generalizations are just as funny to me.

We have fans that are just so bad over the last 5 years. It just comes with success so given the choice between sucking with die hard fans or having success with a ton of bandwagoners - choose success every time. I can promise you with the big steps that Carolina has taken this year and the publicity Cam is getting, you are doomed for some crappy bandwagoners in your future.

What I am saying about the Panthers is:

1) I wanted this matchup, time to see if Carolina is taking over the NFC for real.

2) Panthers are a great team, I can't hate anything about them. Charismatic MVP QB who is fun to watch, and LB corps that IMO is the best in the world. I have met JStew a couple of times (5 or 6 years ago) when he was out with his friends back home. Both times at the craps table at a local indian casino. Nice guy, funny guy, and looked like he was drinking a vodka something, I couldn't tell the mixer.

3) I will try to break down the nuts and bolts of the games in other threads, but my main opinion is: Cam won't get meaningful yards through the air, but will get a lot on foot. He has the game to beat you either way. I think RW and company will keep up most of the game, but my main fear is the D getting beat by the MVP down the stretch.

Cam throws for 250 yds...2 td's and runs for another.

Really? Jimi Hendrix, Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Alice in Chains, Soundgarden, Dave Mathews, Foo Fighters, Heart, Macklemore, Robert Cray, Quincy Jones, just to name a few. Wouldn't it just be easier just to say you don't like music? Bringing up these ridiculous things about Seattle and its fans just makes you like a bunch of jealous 13-year-old girls gossiping about each other in the grade school cafeteria. This has nothing to do with Seattle's or Carolina's teams. It's about the players and this is shaping up to be a great game. Why spoil it with chicken-shyt stuff like this.

"Anyways, white is the traditional playoff color for Carolina and was worn on some of their most impressive playoff wins. But I don't expect newcomers to the NFL to know that. "

I'll be the first to admit the insurgence of "12's" is very annoying (sidenote I hate that term as a whole, but thats another thread for another day) .. but this is kind of ridiculous.  lol.  I'm a pretty knowledgeable NFL fan and I had no idea the Panthers had a traditional playoff color.. further, weren't most of your bigger playoff wins on the road?  The magazine cover shows the NFC CG where you beat the Eagles in Philly.. of course they'd be in white.

Saying "lol they don't know our unis are white in the playoffs!" is akin to me going "Russell Wilson hasn't lost by more than 10 points in his career" .. its a fun stat thats 1) meaningless to the game and 2) only really talked about by that fan base.

The Greg Hardy thing though... man... not a good look.  There was another poster that asked what needed to happen for the Seahawks to host a home playoff game as the 6 seed too.  That one was also fun.

As I recall, we chose the white uniforms for our first playoff game against the Michael Irvin Cowboys in 1996 in order to force Dallas to wear their blue jerseys.  Since we won that game, and sent the hated Cowboys into a spiral of mediocrity, we decided to keep the whites as our playoff colors.

That 1996 game saw us dislocate Michael Irvin's shoulder and break Deon Sanders's face (a cracked orbital socket as I recall.)

I stopped by Seahawks.net before the last game week 5, it was a fuging ghost town. I think PhillyB posted a really detailed topic about how to beat the Panthers it got like 12 replies. now they are on a winning streak and its the playoffs and everyone is a freaking diehard,

This whole Seattle's fans are bandwagon is pure nonsense, Seattle has always had a strong fanbase. Did it get bigger with SB win? Of course, every fanbase does. Seattle has always been a great football town with the seahawks and the Huskies. A study wss performed in 2014 examining 'bandwagon" fanbases, Seattle was not included in the scenario. http://fanbuzz.rare.us/story/think-your-rivals-have-bandwagon-fans-you-might-be-surprised-at-the-top-10-bandwagon-fan-bases/

Beast, I would actually be very interested to hear a die-hard Hawks fan''s perspective on the 12er bandwagon phenomenon. Seriously bro, make that thread for us. :)

    • Watching Rams/Eagles. Celebrating the St Louis Rams team that won the SB (Warner, Holt, etc..) while playing in Los Angeles seems wrong.  If I were in Los Angeles, no way I would attend a Rams game.  Probably wouldn't attend a Chargers game either.  Becoming a fan of a team that likes to move around just seems like a waste of energy as a fan.
    • The only responses I am getting after providing statistics to put opinions in perspective seem to be from people who get angry and attack stats and people whose opinions differ from their own.  Have people on the Huddle ever overreacted, exaggerated, been wrong about players before?  Sure they have, so an alternative opinion with statistical support should not cause you to attack me or my views.  I am sorry your public schools failed you.  But your reactions are very revealing--you are stuck in Piaget's concrete operational stage--learn logic, how to debate a topic, and learn the difference between facts and emotional opinions.  When I paralleled Cam's stats with Jones' to point out how remarkably similar their careers have been to this point, It blew some 40 watt minds.  I think Jones, in a better situation, could be good--that should not upset you--
    • penalties and poor hands is what cost us in the RZ Bryce missing "high" in the back of the end zone is not an issue, you're taught as a QB to throw high in the back of end zone were only the receiver can catch or no one The duo of Ian Thomas and Tommy tremble can both go at the end of the season, both been here for multiple seasons and they've barely developed
