Anything relating to fashion is sure to reach 50 pages on this forum.  Start a "black helmets are awesome" thread then sit back and watch.

Aren't we undefeated in the playoffs at home when we wear white? If it works, it isn't crazy...

Yup.

What's funny is that even Panthers.com discussed this issue.  It's obviously not a random choice!

The Panthers will go with their traditional white uniforms against the Seahawks. Not sure where your superstition lies, but here are some numbers: Carolina is 7-4 in the playoffs when wearing white and 0-2 when wearing black. When the Panthers have truly held the choice on which color to wear as the home team, they're 3-0 in white, 0-2 in black.

If the Panthers reach the Super Bowl, they're slated to wear white based on the alternating pattern the NFL uses to select uniforms for the big game.

I guess no one still remembers why we started wearing the white jerseys at home playoff games.

Back in the early days, the Cowboys began wearing their white jerseys at home. Their rationale was that they wanted to look the same on TV each week. At the time, every other team followed the convention of wearing their colored jersey at home, therefore the Cowboys would be wearing white nearly every week. They thought it would help them to increase their national fan base. They came to view their dark blue jerseys as being unlucky.

When we made the playoffs in 1996 and drew them as an opponent we decided to wear our white jerseys so that they would have to wear their unlucky dark blue ones. Jon Richardson, who was in charge of picking our uniform colors then, claimed the credit for having given us the winning advantage.

We won that game and then came to view our white jerseys as our playoff jerseys.
