You dont go out and get Cutler without getting a stud WR to go with him.

Greg Olsen is the best reciever on that team.

I don't get why people are sitting here defending Cutler. He is supposed to be so great and the Bears paid a king's ransom for him. Sure he has a great arm but he makes crappy decisions and stupid throws. Worse is that he has done that all of his career not just this year. Sure you can look at his good throws and say wow what potential, but in the end he is average or worse when you evaluate the numbers.

For the money picks and hype, Cutler is worst than Jake by far. Jake was an undrafted guy who no one expected anything out of while Cutler is supposed to be a franchise quarterback. Guess which one has a losing record as a starter. That doesn't make Jake better but surely Cutler should be playing much better than he is.

Again expand your minature mind. Jake can suck but no one said he is a franchise quarterback and he didnt cost an arm and a leg to get like Cutler. For the money, picks and expectations, Cutler has been worse than Jake.

Mmmkay. I don't know why you're being such a dick to me, but whatever. At least Cutler will have the opportunity to improve and progress. Delhomme, on the other hand, is done.

Cutler has problems sure (not seeing wide open receivers, relies on his last checkdown to the point where it can easily be exploited when pressured, and relies overly much on his arm strength to throw the ball into heavy coverage) but given a little time and a decent WR acquisition by Chicago he could be a top QB in a year or two.

In other words Cutler will improve, whereas Jake (who this thread is really about despite the title) will probably not improve and only get worse over time.

The thread was about Delhomme when it was created. Now it's more about those who cried the whole offseason about how we HAD to get Cutler no matter the cost (even though it wasn't even close to feasible).
