ok i'm so confused.

Is there a chance of snow or not?

Arson in your screenshot it says "Mathews."

I thought we play in Charlotte. Never even heard of a city called Mathews.

Google Matthews...  It's a Charlotte suburb.

Matthews is a west suburb of Charlotte....it is like 10 miles from downtown.

worked with a meteorologist who did that for 19 years....always told me that don't bother with weather reports if they are longer than 72 hours (3 days) in advance.......you just can't rely on it...............best to revisit this deal this Thursday afternoon and go from there..........

Been watching the 10 day forecast for a few days. There is some rain coming. A couple of days ago it was to arrive Sat night into Sunday. A few minutes ago the site I use has it arriving Friday into Saturday. That tells me the front is moving faster than originally forecast. I like the sound of that.

I'm sort of a weather geek..latest model run is trending back to rain now and a possible snow scenario..

That's just the GFS, I'm more interested in what the EURO and Canadian will put out. If two of the three have a similar look, then we need to pay attention! We are within five days now, we should start seeing the models coming to a consensus pretty soon.

It's late Wednesday just saying...  Basically there is a wet cyclone coming this way from Atlantic and absolutely freezing temperatures from up-north.  No one knows where this cyclone is going to hit... Some models say it will go toward Boston and New York while others projecting to hit farther south.  So basically Sunday forecast might look like rain turning into snow fall in the afternoon which will effect the game or it might just be cold.

Partly Sunny and high of 48......that is damn shorts weather.  And I will definitely be wearing shorts.

Remember....if you drink enough, you can't feel your legs anyway.

With a high of 57 on Saturday, the high of 48 on Sunday is likely going to occur at midnight with temperatures dropping steadily throughout the day.

I doubt it snows, but the high for the day doesn't always happen during the middle of the day in the winter like it does during the summer.

Nope....the low Sat night is 32....high Sun 44....low Sun night 20.

So, the high on Sunday will be during the middle of the day.

Basically it is what I have been saying since it rained for a week and a half straight. All we need is a solid dip in the polar jet stream with the moisture from the south and we will have some snow on our hands. Which seemed likely considering the dip occurs yearly, but we don't always see this type of moisture.

I expected if it were to snow that we would see a larger event with this. The low for the night has continued to trend down however so it is going to be much cooler Sunday afternoon than originally expected.
