Why Not Matt Moore

:banghead:

Basically, there are a handful of posters here that post/do what you do, then circle-jerk each other while flaming anyone else who comes along to post. They could just skip the thread, but why do that when they can pop in and whine?

They'll insult your post count next or try to flame you on spelling mistakes.

Yes!!Unfortunately there are jerkoffs:banghead: like that on most message boards, just waiting to prove they are idiots.

Moore has done nothing to show he is ready. He went 2-1 in 2007 with a simplistic pared down playbook similar to what we will use if feeley has to play on Sunday.

This preseason he was 16 for 29 for a 55% completion rate with 0 TDs and 1 INT for a 58.5 passer rating.

Last preseason he went 35 for 65 for 53% with 0Tds and 3 Ints for a passer rating of 52.

Compare that to Feeley who this preseason went 35 of 46 for 71% with 1TD and 0 Ints for a passer rating of 104.

That is why Moore will be number 3 and Feeley will be number 2 as soon as he learns the playbook.

We've been paying Moore for three years to hold a clipboard and not be ready when the time finally comes that he may need to step up?

Sounds like another questionable FO move.

What do you think third string quarterbacks do? Since they really don't get much experience with the 1s, most of them don't play unless necessary.

Anyone think Cassel sees the field last year unless Brady gets hurt. He could have sucked just as easily as played as well as he did. Obviously the Patroits didn't think he was all that or they wouldn't have traded him so cheaply.

Why is this consider a bad thing? He won game without having most of the playbook too work with. That seem like a plus in my book. This preseason he was 16 for 29 for a 55% completion rate with 0 TDs and 1 INT for a 58.5 passer rating.

Last preseason he went 35 for 65 for 53% with 0Tds and 3 Ints for a passer rating of 52.

What were Jake Preseason numbers when he came in for Peete? I don't remeber the actually numbers but I do know he didn't have a good Preseason.

Compare that to Feeley who this preseason went 35 of 46 for 71% with 1TD and 0 Ints for a passer rating of 104.

But when given the chance too start in Miami how did he do? No good but atleast he got the chance. I still don't see why a young QB who has been in your system for 3 years is not a option.

That is why Moore will be number 3 and Feeley will be number 2 as soon as he learns the playbook.

This is more a bad mark on Fox then Moore. 1st he should have went too him sooner in 06'. He has beaten out Bazena (I know spelled Wrong) and Cantwell too stay on the roster. If you think he has no Future as a starter then why keep him on the roster.

I don't see a problem with people posting question if they are fans of a team. Right now if you are a fan of this team you have a question or 3. Why not Matt Moore he has been kept on the roster for 3 years. That is more time then Jake had with the team when he took over for Peete. He has the same number of wins under his belt as Jake had when he took over for Peete. One thing you can say about Moore is in the short time we saw him he has led the team on Drives down the field.

Should be a young QB that you are developing for the future and after 3 years he should be ready too make that jump up the depht chart. If he isn't and still on the roster then the coaching staff is too blame.

They also wouldn't have a 1st round draft pick they got for him etheir. They not only had a 11-5 season missing their starter but parlyed that into 2 high draft picks. So I think they feel pretty good about how they came out. Maybe If we do that Moore shows skills another team wants and if we don't keep him we can get somthing for him.

What is funny to me is all these lame arguments to support Moore. Does anyone thing that Fox and Hurney have something against him?

Does anyone think that they wanted to pick him up not to use him and sit him forever?

They would like Moore to deliver and be the answer. It would have been a lot easier to just promote him to starter and wait for 6 weeks for McCown to heal.

They choose to get Feeley because they don't see things to suggest Moore can do the job right now based on working with him for 2 seasons.

Why do they keep him? Because they know he still has potential.

But seriously stop wasting time arguing stupid points about his potential. The guys paid to know don't see it. Feel free to try to win a debating contest on this message board but as for will it change anything? Of course not.

What are you talking about? They got a single 2nd round pick by packaging Cassel and Mike Vrabel together. At least if you said it was to avoid paying the franchise tag on Cassel and getting something for a guy who was past his prime in Vrabel, you could make a semblence of an argument.

Amazing!!!!

If I'm not mistaken, they already had put the tag on Cassel before the trade. At the time they weren't sure if Brady's knee would be ready, but when they heard that he was progressing well in rehab they were able to pull the trigger on the trade. What's crazier is that Denver was willing to trade Cutler to the Bucs and to give up a first round pick to get Cassel in a 3 way trade.

Listen you keep making arguments to support Jake with even less real substance to your side of the argument. Your basically saying that a guy that is a turnover machine and is losing this teams respect should be our starter just because he still is the starter. We had Foster playing ahead of one of the best backs in the league because of Fox's ridiculous notion that he was more talented (more so in pass pro then running).

How do you know that Moore can't start in this league? We have never given him the chance since his rookie year (when he was a Rookie of the Month winner). I know what Jake brings, inconsistency, if Matt comes in and can't handle it at least we know that.
