Agree with this. I think in truth we have no real idea what Fox thinks of Moore's potential. He is going to stick with the veteran until that vet proves beyond a reasonable doubt that he cannot function. Fox might actually think that Moore is the future, but wants to wait until Jake is 37 or 38 before he hands the reins to Matt. Or he might think that Moore is a second or third stringer for his career.

fox has way too much faith in jake..its unreal how he takes up for him everytime he blows a game..

If It ends up that Moore becomes for another team what Jake was for us in 2003 I am going to be very dissapointed...

It's more likely that Moore never starts a game for anybody, and may likely find himself in the UFL in 2 years...assuming the UFL is still around. I'm kind of bewildered at how all these fans have such high hopes for a guy that really hasn't shown anything. I think it's just desperation - hoping there's somebody out there better than Delhomme.

Creating a false illusion that we have Tom Brady sitting on the bench but the dumb ol' coaching staff is just too hard-headed to start him seems to be even less of a leg to stand on. Particularly considering his past performances. Of course, if you want to continue to think that, it's fine. Everyone's entitled to their opinion. You can continue to take it personally though.

Panthers have never developed a QB all the way to day one .

Weinke too. Fox started Jake over Weinke when he pulled Pete. Fox never liked Weinke either, so that is why he sat on bench and wasted away. He thought he was soft because he had to have his shoulder operation.

Not sure how good you expect to see someone get, that only get's to practice every now and then with the starters, but expect miracles come game time when they are thrown in as a last resort.

Weinke was, and could have been a great QB for us, but not for Fox.

See, I think he did show something. He played pretty well a couple of years ago when he started. More TDs that INT's, decent passer ratings and he didn't lose any fumbles, even when he was sacked 5 times by Dallas. Thats more important to me than his preseason play. He doesn't have good numbers coming out in relief, but given that the situation is usually bad when a QB comes in for relief, thats understandable.

IMO, he has a strong arm and a quick release. And he is far and away more mobile than Jake. The only question is his decision making, and we haven't seen enough of him to judge that imo.

I didn't realize basing my personal opinion on observations was considered acting like a snob. If I would have come in here and said, "jake suckz!!! moore 2 start!!!" you wouldn't have said anything. Quit getting so petty about somebody having a different opinion than you.
