Yea, the sad part is even at full speed you can see he has plenty of time to make the rational choice not to take the extra 2 steps and hit Brown (a penalty in all situations btw).

Instead stays on his route and lowers his shoulder for a blow to the head.  How is this hit being defended by anyone as legal?

Because he felt Brown touched the ball is the only reason I could see as to why he didn't try to cut out of the way. Gave him a love tap and unfortunately paid for it there.

The concept is the same, though. A coach, who honestly had no right to be on the field (brown is a WR, Porter is the LB coach), got into the middle of a scrum in a rivalry game that he used to play in, grabbed a player. That's a dick move.

yeah i can see that i guess

Love tap?  Seriously?  Love taps do NOT nearly knock a player unconscious and give them a concussion.

just stop

They do. I've seen it happen and I regretfully caused it to happen once. Mine was on the sideline and I hit a RB going for the ball on a wheel route. He touched it with a fingertip and I was a step or so away and i ran into him with my shoulder and it caused him to spin enough for his leg to catch the ground and tear his knee. The play was not flagged and though some were upset with me it wasn't until after he was injured that some tried to call it dirty.  My intention was to punish him for dropping the ball. I doubt Burfict is upset that he hurt the guy. But, as i'm trying to tell you guys, whether someone is injured or not has nothing to do with whether a play is malicious.

Dude, you are embarrassing yourself.  Burfict knew exactly what he was trying to do and it cost him.  It was a penalty and everyone knows it.

The sport as it happens is being defended. If it was Kuechly, Burfict or Hitler giving a 4 year old WR a concussion my response would be the same.

And if it was Kuechly taking 3 steps to intentionally give a WR a shot to the head, I'd be more disappointed.

Because coming from Burfict its not unexpected.
