Both of those defenses have it in them to play at an elite level.   Not sure what some yall are expecting.   A shootout?

Gotta feel bad for the Texans.  Great D, but no QB and their offense was completely sunk when Arian Foster went down.  Hoyer was almost unbelievably bad in that 1st quarter.  Missing open receivers and thrown an INT and lost a fumble.  Both of which were pretty much unforced errors.  The throw was terrible and then with the fumble he literally just dropped the ball.

If Texans had an average QB, they are a top 5 team .... Hoyer sucks and that's their best option

This ain't good defense, this is turnover-city. Shooting yourself in the foot doesn't count for good defense in my book...just poor decision making.

I'd would like to respectfully disagree as that game had at least one component offense on the field and the team that won ( us) was on the rise. I do not feel the chiefs or the Texans are on the rise.

Almost every great defensive play in NFL history is the result of someone else shooting themselves in the foot.     It doesn't and shouldn't take away from the quality of a defense. 

 

Chiefs defense is.......elite.
