So, years later, the media is finally trying to make that bleacher report Jim Folsom guy reap what he sowed

Accolades don't mean squat to the Cam haterz. There will always be some stat they can use to say he has done nada yet. Hellz, even if we win the SuperB owl, these folks will find a way to dismiss Cam's contributions.

If you hate Cam. There is nothing, never will be anything, Cam can do to change your mind.

Cam haters are just a psychotic group of people.

LOL!!!!!!

I don't get tooo excited about many things. But...why folks hate Cam is one of them. The kid has never really done anything to deserve it. The worse thing he has ever done is have a kid out of wedlock. Or that laptop thingy back in college. But c'mon man.

I can understand fans of our rivals hating him. That can make sense. But there are way too many people that don't have any reason, yet still hate him.

I heard SCam on the radio again yesterday. WHY???? And Fug em.

The Charlotte Observer has no shame in their game.

They will continue to give idiots like this a platform to spew their hatred towards Cam just for clicks.

No other local newspaper does this to a player that they cover. It's weird as hell.

they actually responded to readers questioning why they go at Cam..the more click bait articles they provide, the more cash they bring in..business..yes..good Journalism..nope..

http://carolinablitz.com/2016/01/07/charlotte-observer-on-if-they-would-publish-same-newton-opinion-letters-if-he-were-white/

Some people were bewildered that the Observer would publish the letters. How could the Observer criticize the franchise quarterback during a playoff run? Why don’t we recognize all the good Newton does as a role model? Would we run a similar letter about a white quarterback?

Well, we didn’t criticize Newton. Letter-writers did. Either way, it is not a newspaper’s job to fawn over and protect home-team athletes from any criticism. The objectors know of Newton’s good deeds in the community only because we and other media outlets have reported them. And race has nothing to do with which letters we run.

Yupperz. If that stupid divine intervention hadn't reared its ugly head, this idiot would be able to go to his grave being right.

I know I am a tad excited over this topic. But, I just don't get it. Cam has done everything asked of him to become one of, if not the, best players in the NFL. Yet folks still rag on the kid.

Missing out on a HOF career over petty hatred. Humans shall never cease to amaze me.

I understand it's a business, but I just think it's strange that the local newspaper gives those types of people a platform to say ridiculous things about Cam.

Also, their explanation as to why they publish those types of articles are BS.

1) Cam definitely changed after the accident... but he was already great. He'd made the Pro Bowl twice, including the year before, where he completed 61.7% of his passes and leading four comeback victories.

2) For some reason, some people are obsessed with the idea a quarterback has to complete 65% of his passes to be good. That is rubbish. West-coast, dink and dunk YAC offenses are great - but they aren't the only way to win. They aren't even the best way to win.

So his original article said he'd wear a jersey in Tampa when the Panthers visited. But now he wants us to pay for him to come to a playoff game.  fug this dude.

And definitely fug off for bringing up the car accident that could have killed Cam as the reason he's playing well.  I normally don't care what people say on the net, but this guy has been continually stooping lower and lower to be an ass

If anyone has his contact info let me know or I can try to find it tomorrow.

That would be really awesome of you.

But the thought of anyone paying for this buffoon who isn't even a Panthers fan, and doesn't even like our QB to attend an NFL playoff game while there are so many more deserving individuals out there (probably with kids who could go on to become big Panthers fans as adults) seems like an immense waste looking at it from all angles.

Don't you guys dare pay for this guy to go to a playoff game. Make him hold to the word of the bet. He said he will go to a home game in Tampa. Keep this on the back burner until the 2016 schedule is released, and then the Roaring Riot can invade the Panthers away game and hold him to his bet.
