Lovie Smith... OUT?!?!

Remember back when Cam was our shiny new toy with all the promise and potential in the world?  Many here thought we should dump Rivera and Shula to ensure they didn't ruin the gem we had in Cam Newton, and pair him with some offensive mastermind like Norv Turner.

Maybe the Bucs ownership feels that way about Winston and thought about bringing in an offensive coach before the Lovie effect had gone too far into the psyche of Jameis.

Regardless, it's a dumb move and when I look around at the personnel management of the NFC South, you got the dumbasses in Tampa along with Dimitroff in ATL plus Loomis in NO, and I just sit back like this

Bucs going after Shula.  Truly want to emulate the Panthers.

nah, Shula has history there....can't follow Lovie with a former Tampa guy that was disliked.  Fully expect Tampa to go young and fresh.

McD IMO is someone they could want.  Division play could influence it.  I'd put a penny on McD getting a call.  They like defensive guys

I don't think they were going anywhere with Lovie...

i don't endorse the hire and fire method...I just think hiring him was a mistake to begin with.  He lost his last 6 games in year 1 and lost 5 of his last 6 in year 2.  Hard to keep any coach who is finishing seasons like that.  Gotta show something at the end.  His teams showed zilch.

Rivera is here because he was historically the exact opposite.

Dreadful starts with promising finishes.

Sucks for Lovie.

If Lovie is never a HC again, his last loss will have come against Rivera (got to make him smile, at least on the inside). 4-0 against his former boss (at least as a divisional opponent)

Riverboat Ron wins... Flawless Victory... Fatality...
