Hopefully the Panthers run into February so by the time these guys are noticed again everyone will be healthy and they will have turned it around.

Even when healthy we were still pissing games away at the end.

Starts at the top.

Yeah, i cant begin to express my disappointment.  You saw at the beginning of the season and through early December, this team has ability and talent to play with the best, outside of the Warriors of course.  We beat some of the better teams in the league and we did it multiple times, so it wasnt an aberration.

Yet, now we're losing games we should win.  And not just losing them, we are never really even competitive.  Considering the extremes we've seen this team compete at this season, that signals to me that this is a mental and/or lack of focus issue, which again, i attribute to Clifford.  The team just seems like they don't care either way.

It's the same crap we've been witnessing. Much of the struggles we have experienced the last few years have been attributed to Al Jefferson in the past. But right now he isn't playing, so there is no convenient scapegoat.

I would have rather waited until after the season completely played out to explore our options with Clifford moving forward.

Right now all that extension looks like is a knee jerk type of move made to temporarily rally support from the fan base, and boost ticket sales. But now that it looks like we are yet again in the running for one of the top worst teams in the NBA, it means diddly poo, and we're practically back to square one all over again.

For crying out loud, fellas, one game under 500.

In Bobcats terms that's practically a 60 win campaign.

They'll be fine.

In the midst of a 6 game losing streak heading into January after the team just extended the head coach, and no concern necessary? I don't know, we'll see how it plays out I guess.

The East isn't exactly full strength either, if Clifford can't string together a decent season with these circumstances, I'm not remotely convinced he can do jack poo when the competition improves.

Nicolas Batum is making himself a poo ton of money right now.

A unique skillset similar to Mcbob that this team can't duplicate without him.

He and MKG will be back eventually. Long season.

Besides, what the heck, Red? Save this frustration for a crucial wide receiver drop, special teams miscue, lack of pass rush, or bad playcall next week. Hornets are the last thing this area is concerned about right now. Priorities.

I don't think it's terribly difficult to be able to enjoy the Panthers season, and also expect our Hornets to at least not be the laughing stock of the NBA.

Anyone who was EVER convinced Steve Clifford was the right guy or could do jack poo hasn't been paying attention. Really not sure what he truly brings to the table. OK at developing young talent but not great at it, X's and O's have sucked, in game coaching sucks, rotation sucks, motivation is severely lacking... This is the other side of that 50/50 coin that Ron Rivera could have been. Thankfully Riverboat learned and grew, Clifford is just a neverwas who doesn't show signs of changing what doesn't work.

Yeah, Rivera realized his approach wasn't producing the results he wanted, so he worked on his in game management, and of course it paid off huge. Clifford just always has that same expression on his face no matter when I see him, he looks like he's already been defeated before his team has even set foot on the court. No wonder the players are out there on the court looking like they're wishing they were somewhere else.

Rivera turmed it around once he got Dave Gettleman. Funny how that works.

Clifford has Rich Cho.

Just to recap:

Draft picks - Walker, Biyombo, Zeller, MKG, Vonleh, Hairston, Kaminsky. Outside of Hairston, all are top ten picks. You could argue Walker and Kaminsky look like our best picks in terms of value, and it's well documented those were MICHAEL'S picks!

Free agency - Al Jefferson, Lance Stephenson, Brian Roberts, Marvin Williams. Let Mcbob walk and couldn't replace him.

About the only thing Cho has done well is on the trade market, yet for whatever reason, outside of the Batum deal, he never wants to shake things up. Usually it's just a tiny deal that doesn't move the needle.

Bottom line, team just isn't THAT talented, and that's not on Clifford.

I'm with you on Cho.

As I've stated before, if one does indeed go, the other should follow. If they can't mesh together, then why bother?

    • I mean that’s not an argument I go with… But in ACC play, both Clemson and SMU covered the spread more than Miami.  Miami didn’t cover in 3 games.
