Are we the first 15-1/1 seed team that has been widely predicted to not make the SB?

What's "widely predicted"? One opinion from the West coast and one from the East?

I'm seeing some sites list the Cards, Pats, and Panthers as all tied with +450 or 9-2 odds to make the SB, and all three teams have stumbled lately. The Pats were the hands down favorites in '08, with that 16-0 record. Didn't help 'em beat that 10-6 Giants team.

Man, some of you "Panthers" fans are so sensitive that any media prediction that doesn't include the Panthers somehow means the world is against the Panthers.  I've seen a lot of predictions that give the Panthers the best shot at making through the NFC.  But don't let actual facts get in the way of a fun narrative.
