JMO but I think Marshawn is a red herring.  Sports hernia and/or abdominal surgery, if he really had it, is no joke.

I dont know how a sports hernia compares to and inguinal hernia that I had surgery for a few months ago, but if the two are anything alike I can't imagine anyone taking NFL type hits unless they have had a few months to recover.

I was hoping I could find Wes Horton's PFF grades, but they've taken him out of the system.  Maybe now he'll be back.  Early in the season (week 4) he was our second-highest rated DE in terms of run defense (CJ was first).

Unfortunately, I did not capture the specific run defense grades for later in the season, just his overall grade & ranking.

Why the hell do they keep cutting him just to bring him back? Jesus.

Roster space.  Injuries.  The need of the moment...

when we first cut him. IIRC it was because our Oline was seriously thin (Daryl Williams, Chandler & Amini injuries) and they brought Foucault up for a game as insurance.  Foucault was quickly waived back down to the PS, and Horton immediately resigned.

He was then suspended for 4 weeks for a PED-violation, and when that suspension was over.  During his suspension his roster spot was taken by either Finnegan or McClain (forget which).  When his suspension ended, there were no guys on our roster the team wanted to waive in order to make room for Horton.

But now with Peanut's injury, Lou Young has been called up to the PS, reopening a spot for Horton.  Need at CB is greater than need at DE right now.  But obviously, Horton could still get reactivated if it is deemed we need his help against the run.,

Plus he already knows the system. We gonna start training a new guy during the playoffs?
