One thing is for sure: He'll be the most (if not top 3) sought after coordinator interviewees for other teams.

We may be looking at Wilks as our new DC after the Super Bowl run, which is awesome because Wilks is awesome.

I don't understand why anyone would want to coach the Browns.  How many have tried and failed over the past 10-years?  The Browns mgmt will not allow success.....very similar to the Lions.  McDermott may be using this as a practice interview for Philly.

May be using it as practice in the sense that Philly is probably his dream job.  But at the same time, there are only 32 of these jobs in the entire country.  And every guy with aspirations of being a HC (especially a 1st time HC) wants to believe they are the one who can turn it around.

For all the never ending Shula hate, at least he is waiting until we are done. How much valuable time is going to be wasted to fly round trip to Ohio and go through a several hour interview process?

Better be bringing that Surface tablet with you McDeeznuts.

It is required that any coaches of playoff teams interviewing during the bye week interview in the coaches home city.  I know someone said the interview will be in Cleveland, but it will NOT be there.  NFL rules say it will be in Charlotte.

Cleveland seems to be all in on this moneyball concept. That could mean that if McD buys in, then he could stick around for a while. They seem to be committed to changing their philosophy. I think if McD says yes I'll do this moneyball football thing you're talking about, then he could get the job. An established head coach would not likely acquiesce to this concept. A first time head coach might. He could view it as an interesting, lucrative challenge.

i like Wilks so I'm not worried.
