Best of luck to him.  I really wish he was taking Shula's route and not interviewing as long as we are playing, but I get it.  He has to do what is best for him and his family.  I'm not too concerned with losing McD to be honest.  I think he's done a great job, but as long as we have Rivera we'll always have a strong D.  He's fielded a strong D everywhere he's been.

Which brings me to my next point.  I have often been frustrated with Shula and would've loved to have seen us move on from him in the past, but regardless of what anyone may think of him as a coach and/or play caller, there is ZERO doubting that man's dedication to this team and this organization.  Delaying interviews as long as we're playing is clearly putting what's best for the team over what's best for himself.  That definitely puts him at a significant disadvantage of landing a head coaching job.

lol remember what happened to last coordinator that went to the browns?

Remember what's happened to virtually everyone who enters that cesspool?  They go through GMs, coaches, and QBs like crazy.  They'll never accomplish anything until they have a little patience and actually give someone a legit shot.

Rivera and McDermott both stated how important it is to wait for the RIGHT FIT HC job. No way he thinks Cleveland is that job, right?

Not sure he cares. You can tell from his interview that he feels he is long past due for a HC position and if it has to be the Browns then it will be the Browns.

I hope not , that seems to ask for failure.  I think he can be very successful as a HC but stay the hell away from Cleveland!

For all the never ending Shula hate, at least he is waiting until we are done. How much valuable time is going to be wasted to fly round trip to Ohio and go through a several hour interview process?

Better be bringing that Surface tablet with you McDeeznuts.
