Official Wild Card Weekend Predictions Thread....

Everyone's fear of the Seahawks is showing.  I don't get it we match up with them just fine and they cannot cover a TE and we have one of the best in the game.  With that said picking the Vikes to win is a bold statement.  Seattle will most likely win it and we will be hosting them in our first game so you might as well prepare yourselves.

steelers

chiefs

and the skins(which will be where my gamble will be)

either way it goes we win our first divisional round and advance to the NFC championship against the cardinals.

I'll take the Texans at home over the Chiefs.  When teams that have a rematch in the postseason, the team that lost in the regular season tends to win.  History is against the Chiefs winning a playoff game, and the Texans won a playoff game in 2011 and 2012.

Steelers over Bengals.  Antonio Brown is an amazing player, so fun to watch. The Bengals don't have the firepower with Dalton out to keep up.  If Dalton starts, this will be a close game.  I'll still take battle-tested Ben Roethlisberger over Andy "haven't won a playoff game" Dalton.

Redskins over Packers.  This game is a tossup.  I think Washington is the better team in almost every area except QB.  If Kirk Cousin's can channel some of that "You Like That" magic, the Redskins will knock out the limping Packers.

Seahawks over Vikings.  As much as I'd love the Vikings to pull an upset here I don't think they have the talent or experience to take on Seattle.  With temperatures hovering around 0 degrees for this game, defense will be the name of the game.  I expect a low scoring game with Russell Wilson making a big play at the end to win it.

Divisional Round Predictions:

Broncos vs Steelers

Patriots vs Texans

Cardinals vs Redskins

Panthers vs Seahawks

GB vs Washington - Surprisingly, Redskins D is pretty competent. While GBs D is...well,

Preston Smith and Ryan Kerrigan will get pressure early and often. Breeland and Culliver will do a solid job covering GBs lackluster pass attack. And Eddie Lacy will plod for minimal gains behind a hurt OL and put all the pressure on Rodgers alone.

Meanwhile Kirk Cousins will play well and show he deserves that big money.

GB - 17 Washington - 28

Seattle vs Minn - Why did Seattle play its starters when they could do poo to improve their playoff seeding? Who fuging knows. But not smart by any means.

Difference between this game and their last meeting is three things, Xavier Rhodes, Anthony Barr and Harrison Smith are all playing this game, unlike last time. To make matters worse, Danielle Hunter has come on late with 3.5 sacks in the last 4 weeks, making a D-line with Everson Griffin and Sharif Floyd that much more deadly against a poor O-line. This is the best Defense the Seahawks have faced since their turnaround. Lynch will be back, but against this front 7, will that help much?

Vikings will play Ball Control offense, run with All-day, well, all day. But how well that works is up in the air. Rushuing leader vs #1 rush defense. Should be fun.

Bridgewater will be the X-factor, he'll have to do more than game manage at times, and he's shown the ability to at times. He'll have his chances, Diggs and Wallace will expose the legion of boom at times (Chancellor sucks this season), and he'll have to win on those chances. Will he? That remains to be seen. I think he'll accel.

The biggest factor to me will be the weather. Can get as low as -4.

Seattle - 20 Vikings - 24

Texans vs Chiefs - This game will be amazing. Just look at all the amazing defenses the Chiefs have played on their 9 game streak like uh...hm..

Oh! The Broncos! ...Where Peyton Manning threw 4 interceptions and only completed 5 out of 20 passes...

Point is, Texans is the best defense they've faced (and had to try against) since Charles went down. And they'll need him. Ware or West won't be able to run against The Texans 10th ranked run defense. And so, it'll be on Alex Smith to make all the throws to win for them.

Hahahahahaha you're fuged.

Smith has been dinking and dunking all season, and that won't work well to get the Chiefs down the field and in position to get points.

Meanwhile, Bryan Hoyer isn't an all pro, but he does have a top 5 WR, Deandre "God I wanted us to draft this guy" Hopkins. He'll be matchuped against Marcus Peters, argubly the most overated DROY ever. He gives up a ton of catches, yards and TDs, but OOOH LOOK HE HAS A LOT OF INTS. Gee, wonder why.

Huston probably won't be able to run well, but it's cool, I don't expect them to need too very much. Long as Hoyer doesn't fug up.

It's all up to whichever QB shits the bed less and which coach makes better adjustments. One of these coaches is Andy Reid so...

Texans - 37 Cheifs - 10.

Pittsburgh vs Bengals- Best matchup of the weekend. Even with Dalton out. ESPECIALLY with Dalton out. He's the opposite if clutch in primetime.

Let's start with the Bengals. They're loaded on offense. Green, Eifert, Jones and Sanu all receiving. Hill and Benard make a solid one-two punch. And one of the best o-lines in the NFL. Going against a defense with ZERO pass coverage.

Question is, what can McCarron do?

Personally? At times he's shown he's more competent than Dalton. His deep ball is a lot better than the red rifle, and he makes smart descions. He's new though, Only 3 starts with 7 games total. He hasn't thrown a pick since week 14, when he replaced Dalton. Of course, that game was against Pittsburgh. A lot will be on him, as Pittsburgh has a top 5 run D.

Now the Steelers. Jesus that offense. Top 10 QB, the best WR in the game, and a solid WR core beside him. Hell even DLo did great in that offense. They play amazing when they get started, and they're hard to stop. Cincinnati's pass defense is sketchy at best, they'll have their hands full.

What Pittsburgh has to watch out for is the Bengals front 7. They have the 7th ranked rush defense, with Dengelo expected to be out. On top of that, that pass rush with Carlos Dunlap and Geno Atkins will make life hard for Ben, who has some health issues.

It'll come down to experience and coaching like the last game. And in that case, I'll have to take Tomlin and Rothilsberger.

Pittsburgh - 44 Bengals - 31

I make my best predictions in the Playoffs bet on me if you're gonna bet.*

*Don't actually I've never bet on Football how does it work

No disrespect, but I think you are crazy thinking that the Texans are going to put 37 up on the Chiefs and the Chiefs only scoring 10.

It is not a "fear" of the Seahawks.

I believe the Panthers are the better team and will beat the Hawks.  However, I also believe the winner of the Skins vs. Packers game would be an easier matchup.  I am always for the easier matchup.

Cheifs over Texans

This is a battle of two teams who impressively fought back from bad starts and injuries to make the playoffs. I see a hard fought game, with the Cheifs once again managing to hold on to an early lead for the win.

Steelers over Bengals

You have to have some sympathy for the poor Bengals, I mean having a great year and your star QB goes down before the playoffs even start. Then they draw their division rivals in the first round? I just don't see a Dalton-less Bengals quad overcoming the Steelers. He'll even of Dalton was starting I don't know that I would take the Bengals based on their history of playoff struggles.

Washington over Packers

Washington is a different team at home and should be able to beat a floundering Packers team. I just can't figure out the Packers struggles. On one hand they have had many injuries to WR, but shouldn't a future HOF QB in Rogers be able to overcome that? Cam never got the benefit of the doubt and excuse making that Rogers is getting this season.

Vikings over Seahawks

I'm sorry, but Seattle isn't going to waltz into Minneapolis in subzero weather and trash the Vikings. This weather is the perfect setup for Minnesota's ground game. Even if the Seahawks manage a win it will be a slugfest that should drain them heading into Charlotte the next week.

After tons of overtime the last few months, I finally have 5 days in a row off from the Hospital and I'm looking forward to doing nothing and watching playoff football all weekend!

Chiefs are jus the better team

Vikings because Seattle struggles against offenses that can put up points. Vikings average around 23 points per game. I think they get more than that and win a cold, hard game.

Steelers because I think the receivers there will beat the Cincy secondary more times than not.

Redskins because I believe the Packers really have just fallen way off abruptly.
