Official Wild Card Weekend Predictions Thread....

GB vs Washington - Surprisingly, Redskins D is pretty competent. While GBs D is...well,

Preston Smith and Ryan Kerrigan will get pressure early and often. Breeland and Culliver will do a solid job covering GBs lackluster pass attack. And Eddie Lacy will plod for minimal gains behind a hurt OL and put all the pressure on Rodgers alone.

Meanwhile Kirk Cousins will play well and show he deserves that big money.

GB - 17 Washington - 28

Seattle vs Minn - Why did Seattle play its starters when they could do poo to improve their playoff seeding? Who fuging knows. But not smart by any means.

Difference between this game and their last meeting is three things, Xavier Rhodes, Anthony Barr and Harrison Smith are all playing this game, unlike last time. To make matters worse, Danielle Hunter has come on late with 3.5 sacks in the last 4 weeks, making a D-line with Everson Griffin and Sharif Floyd that much more deadly against a poor O-line. This is the best Defense the Seahawks have faced since their turnaround. Lynch will be back, but against this front 7, will that help much?

Vikings will play Ball Control offense, run with All-day, well, all day. But how well that works is up in the air. Rushuing leader vs #1 rush defense. Should be fun.

Bridgewater will be the X-factor, he'll have to do more than game manage at times, and he's shown the ability to at times. He'll have his chances, Diggs and Wallace will expose the legion of boom at times (Chancellor sucks this season), and he'll have to win on those chances. Will he? That remains to be seen. I think he'll accel.

The biggest factor to me will be the weather. Can get as low as -4.

Seattle - 20 Vikings - 24

Texans vs Chiefs - This game will be amazing. Just look at all the amazing defenses the Chiefs have played on their 9 game streak like uh...hm..

Oh! The Broncos! ...Where Peyton Manning threw 4 interceptions and only completed 5 out of 20 passes...

Point is, Texans is the best defense they've faced (and had to try against) since Charles went down. And they'll need him. Ware or West won't be able to run against The Texans 10th ranked run defense. And so, it'll be on Alex Smith to make all the throws to win for them.

Hahahahahaha you're fuged.

Smith has been dinking and dunking all season, and that won't work well to get the Chiefs down the field and in position to get points.

Meanwhile, Bryan Hoyer isn't an all pro, but he does have a top 5 WR, Deandre "God I wanted us to draft this guy" Hopkins. He'll be matchuped against Marcus Peters, argubly the most overated DROY ever. He gives up a ton of catches, yards and TDs, but OOOH LOOK HE HAS A LOT OF INTS. Gee, wonder why.

Huston probably won't be able to run well, but it's cool, I don't expect them to need too very much. Long as Hoyer doesn't fug up.

It's all up to whichever QB shits the bed less and which coach makes better adjustments. One of these coaches is Andy Reid so...

Texans - 37 Cheifs - 10.

Pittsburgh vs Bengals- Best matchup of the weekend. Even with Dalton out. ESPECIALLY with Dalton out. He's the opposite if clutch in primetime.

Let's start with the Bengals. They're loaded on offense. Green, Eifert, Jones and Sanu all receiving. Hill and Benard make a solid one-two punch. And one of the best o-lines in the NFL. Going against a defense with ZERO pass coverage.

Question is, what can McCarron do?

Personally? At times he's shown he's more competent than Dalton. His deep ball is a lot better than the red rifle, and he makes smart descions. He's new though, Only 3 starts with 7 games total. He hasn't thrown a pick since week 14, when he replaced Dalton. Of course, that game was against Pittsburgh. A lot will be on him, as Pittsburgh has a top 5 run D.

Now the Steelers. Jesus that offense. Top 10 QB, the best WR in the game, and a solid WR core beside him. Hell even DLo did great in that offense. They play amazing when they get started, and they're hard to stop. Cincinnati's pass defense is sketchy at best, they'll have their hands full.

What Pittsburgh has to watch out for is the Bengals front 7. They have the 7th ranked rush defense, with Dengelo expected to be out. On top of that, that pass rush with Carlos Dunlap and Geno Atkins will make life hard for Ben, who has some health issues.

It'll come down to experience and coaching like the last game. And in that case, I'll have to take Tomlin and Rothilsberger.

Pittsburgh - 44 Bengals - 31

I make my best predictions in the Playoffs bet on me if you're gonna bet.*

*Don't actually I've never bet on Football how does it work

Seattle's a bad matchup for MN when they're missing their 3 best defenders, sure.

You're overlooking the fact their only points on the day came via a kickoff return down 35-0.

I agree they will be better defensively on Sunday, but that doesn't help the fact our defense is a really bad matchup for their offense.

We shut out the Falcons in the first meeting and in the second meeting they walked all over us all game at will. Vikings are built around the run and when they have to abandon the run because they're down so much they won't do much. They won't be down so much again.

Pretty much this.

I have a hard time trying to figure out how Minnesota is going to score. Once Minnesota falls behind and they need Teddy to make a few throws it's game over.

Kansas City is a much better team than Houston. I don't know why people are picking the Texans. I don't think home field is that much of an advantage.

Seattle has way more postseason experience than Minn. I think that is the difference.

GB is just plain aweful right now. Skins are on the upswing, Pack on the downswing. Momentum and home field favor Wash.

Steelers are by far the most likely road lock. Too bad Deangelo got hurt, but I don't think the Bengals will get very far without Dalton.

so...

KC

Seattle

Washington

Pittsburgh

even though I picked 3 road teams, I think the divisional round will be where home field advantage is really strongly influential.

i just feel like we are going to have to fight our way through the NFCW to get to the Super Bowl.

That is why the #1 seed was so critical.

Love the bye/hate the bye!

Minnesota, Washington, Kansas City, Cincinnati

*0 degrees at kickoff and windy. Minnesota has a healthy defense. Minnesota cuts out the read-option bs, lines up in I-formation and Peterson shoves it up that ass.

Washington defense is better than they get credit for. I have no clue what Green Bay is doing.

Chiefs Def over a team with no RB or QB.

AJ McCarron leads Cincy to a win and we have a QB controversy brewing. Brent Musburger misses the entire game searching the stands for AJ McCarron's wife.
