Rams, Raiders, Chargers fIle for relocation

It won't happen, but I think whoever goes should be rebranded like the Ravens did. Nobody gives a poo about the San Diego Chargers, nobody will care about the LA Chargers. LA people will say "We got the Chargers? Eh, ok." The Chargers is nothing to get excited about. But getting a NEW team (even if it's an old team) is very exciting.

Well Yeah, Indy didn't like the Baltimore Colts.

Los Angeles didn't like the Cleveland Rams for decades nor did St. Louis love the LA Rams for decades.

And Arizona doesn't like the St. Louis Cardinals.

I agree. But that would probably cause some teams to balk at the idea, rebranding = more money to spend on the franchise.

Does LA have any existing possible franchise names?

LA will keep the Rams as their name.

In new news, Roger Goddell says that the plans submitted by the city of St. Louis, San Diego and Oakland are insufficient for any NFL Franchise to stay in those cities. Seems like a blessing to move. Now only thing required are the owners to make a vote on it.

It has been 21 years since the NFL has had a team based in Los Angeles. By Wednesday night, the league could have two.

Crazy to think that in two days, the landscape of the NFL could change.

New places to travel for the Roaring Riot. :-)

So wait a minute here. i havent been following this relocation stuff at all much lately, all 3 teams filed for relocation, so LA might have 3 teams next year? 2 in Inglewood and 1 in Carson? Or have I totally screwed the pooch on my reading/comprehending skills here? or are the owners only going to let 1 or 2 go and have the third limp back to their old city?

Panthers are pretty much guaranteed a game in LA next year with away games against both the Rams and Raiders. One of those two will be in LA next year. Just a matter of which one.

My understanding is that the most LA would get is 2 teams and the third will go limping back to their old city.

All three teams have filed for relocation, however the sentiment is that only 2 teams, the Rams and Chargers will be moving. There is also growing movement for Kroenke (Rams) and Spanos (Chargers) to pair up in Inglewood with Oakland pairing with 49ers, moving to San Diego, San Antonio or St. Louis. There is talk about having a special blind vote which would only having a majority vote (17 votes) necessary to move to LA as opposed to the 24 votes currently done.

Here is a good article in the LA Times released today:
http://www.latimes.com/sports/nfl/la-sp-nfl-la-relocation-20160112-story.html

750x750

As you can see, the stadium is ready for the shovels to hit the dirt as soon as the NFL says go.
