Barring any major setback, there should be a team in Los Angeles next year. With that said, I do believe the Rams will be playing in my backyard next year at the Rose Bowl. That only means the Panthers will be playing the LA Rams and our effort to be the Roaring Riot LA chapter will be for a great purpose and will get to host you glorious bastards next year.

Now that all three teams have officially declared their intents, it is up to the NFL's owners to decide which of the teams gets to follow through. It's a three-team, two-stadium race that could get some resolution as soon as the Jan. 12-13 owners meetings.

To that end, the 17 members of the league's finance, stadium and Los Angeles committees will gather in New York on Wednesday and Thursday. There, the committees will hear extended pitches for the Carson and Inglewood projects.

Who do yall think its gunna be?

Ironically the Rams and Kroenke seem to be the most ready to leave, yet they are the only one of the three with a new stadium plan from their current city.

I think SD is pretty much a lock to go at this point. Not sure on the other two.

Yeah the Chargers will probably go. And methinks the Rams will too.

The interesting thing I've gleaned from reading up about this is that the NFL probably won't let two teams go if there are two stadium plans. There have been rumors that the Chargers could buck the Raiders (who have no money), and instead enter a partnership with the Rams to share a stadium a la the Jets and Giants. This avoids two stadiums, and avoids two teams from the same division and conference sharing a stadium.

The only sticking point, from what I've read, would be stadium location. Inglewood is the most ready and has the most financing. But if the theory about the Rams/Chargers partnership is right, then I could see the Rams conceding the stadium location argument to the Chargers (who honestly seem to have the better spot).

It's still a whole lot of drama at the moment. Theres still a good chance nothing gets decided and the NFL primes the LA market for yet another year.

Jeez this is like those two friends that everyone knows should date, but they just can't seem to get together for that first date. It's sad to watch. I'm already tired of hearing about it and I wish the NFL would just make the move already haha.

San Diego Chargers logic: let's abandon our lifelong fans in San Diego for half the fans in Los Angeles, many of which already have teams or will default back to the Raiders.

Magary at Deadspin had a great writeup on this. http://deadspin.com/the-nfl-s-los-angeles-derby-is-a-shameless-repulsive-s-1749262328

Basically, what happened with the Niners and Santa Clara is now the new normal in the NFL. As long as the folks up top get their money, nothing else matters. It's always been this way, but it has never been this out in the open.

The money and the market in LA is easily more than Oakland, SD, or St Louis but we all know this is probably doomed to fail again for the reasons you mentioned.

The Los Angeles experiment has already transpired and failed. That's basketball city. Whatever. The Chargers will be back in a decade or so when those LA fans stop showing up to the games.

LA fans don't show up unless you are a contender. They are the ultimate bandwagoners. Unless the Chargers plan to win immediately, they aren't going very far.

It's a bit hypocritical to be mad about stadium costs when the relocation fee is $550 million. That could go a long way towards a new stadium.

This always cracks me up. Completely unaware how many decades NFL football thrived in Los Angeles or the stadium problems that eventually caused the teams to  leave town.

Yeah I heard something the other day that the temporary Rose Bowl deal is all but done. I had thought the citizens of Pasdaena was against the Sunday crowds, this get ironed out?
