My company has a vacation home for employee use in Snowmass. It's like 3 hours from Denver but I think I could maybe go into Denver Friday or Saturday and find a hotel to stay in for the game.

I don't think its pointless to talk about it, but fwiw he is making a prediction for next year, based on this year's results.  That is something that virtually every analyst as well as quite a few fans do.  Its also part of what he gets paid to do.

It's shaping up to be a decent trip with RR for a very good deal on a hotel. My house is two hours from the stadium but if you feed the horses you can stay here. We'll be at the hotel. I'll leave the Miata for you

Since the Super Bowl winning team always opens the Season on Thursday night, I predict the following:

 

Opening game is CAR @ SEA Thursday Sept, 8.

Oakland fans are passionate and talk a lot of poo but at the end of the day they seem more exhausted from sucking more than anything else. 

Yeah it's amazing about SF. I keep reading about fans being stabbed, shot etc after SF Giant and 49er games with some regularity.

This guy who killed a Dodger fan was set free. Home field advantage me thinks!

Denver is a blast.  We went the same weekend the great American beer fest was in town. Hopefully they assign our game the same weekend, Oct.  8th 2016.  We ran into a ton of college and NFL fans (of at least 8 different teams) at tarantula billiards as well and had a great time hanging out there.

Plan for the Oakland, Denver, and Seattle games to be 4p starts (hey, we knew this, but sometimes it just has to be pointed out for roadtrippin' purposes).

Chances are good that CARvsSEA will be a SNF or MNF game.  Would hate for it to be a TNF one.

I wouldn't be surprised if they pushed the SD or SF home games to be 4p starts for no reason whatsoever, other than to be nicer to the CA TV viewers.
