I'm not a big fan of it but really what can you do. I think you should not be allowed till the season is over.

That's how it used to be.  But the problem with that approach was that it penalized coaches on successful teams.

Since some teams didn't want to wait, coaches on teams in the playoffs wound up shut out of the process. Good coaches wound up victims of their own success.

The change was made to stop that trend.

Yea but it now punishes you for winning lol. Just like last year with the Falcons tampering before the superbowl.

Per Ian Rapoport, Shula will not interview for any HC jobs while the Panthers are still alive in the playoffs. Wants to keep his focus on the Lombardi.

I thought there was an NFL rule against coordinators interviewing during the playoffs?

Shula has a damn good thing going with cam.  They work well together. I wouldn't be surprised if he decided to stay here

Yeah but these guys are all professionals and have egos.

Shula doesn't think of his monumental failures when he goes to bed at night and thank Cam for his success. I guarantee you he thinks about how he turned a guy that was trending downward (from his breakout rookie season) to an MVP.

That's how these guys think.

Wouldn't have been upset if he did interview, but I do appreciate him doing this. I was anti-Shula for the longest, but after orchestrating the leagues #1 offense, I want him to stay. The continuity has really helped Cam, and I think this crew can win a ton of games now and in the future. We'll be fine w/o him, but it's one of those I'd rather win with you than without you
