I was predicting a 7-9 season before the first game anyway. I won't back off that because I would expect even if we lose 4-5 straight due to staying with Jake way too long, we could potentially turn it around.

In fairness, however, I didn't have a whole lot of hope or excitement about the season to begin with. After the offseason it was hard to see any of the personnel decisions(or lack thereof) paying off.

I will still cheer for the team and watch the games, but I just don't have any hope.

It's not a case of giving up, it's more a case of doing objective, unbiased analysis.

Prior to the beginning of the season I predicted a 7-9 or 6-10 year. We are not going to beat the teams in the NFC East (4 losses), and we are going to have a very difficult time versus the Saints and Falcons (4 more potential losses), and finish 3rd in the division. These games will account for 6 to 8 losses.

I see no reason right now to change my prediction, because I still think that we can win 6 games.

I'd just like to ask, what are people trying to accomplish by coming on the forums and spouting all this 0-16 garbage? One game and they're in death throes, calling for the heads of our management and coaching.

Sure, our QB play is god awful, and taking the entire game into perspective, we sure as hell don't look playoff bound, but is it really time to have a complete turnover in coaching and management?

I'd ask people to calm down and stop posting ridiculously stupid threads and comments but that's a lost cause. I'm just kind of embarrassed at the apparent stupidity and fickle nature of our fan base.

Here's hoping we win some games so that these people shut up.

I agree with you 100%,so having said that,i predict the Panthers will have an 0-16 season.

Just kidding,i feel the Panthers still have a shot at a winning season but there are some issues that need to be worked out immediately.

For those bailing already, I hope you aren't the same guys busting the fans for leaving early. Bailing at game 1 out of 16 is a lot like a fan bailing when the game is only 1/16th over. That would be 4 minutes into the first quarter.

What gets me is all those lurker/newbies that finally get the guts up to post something and it is all negative. I.E. "Fire Fox", "Fire Jake", "All is lost", etc. Those morons can just run it in their a$$es.

I think the board would be better off if newbs only get to post in certain forums until they either get their heads on straight or get bant for being the utter sh!theads that they are.

It's simple, if you are a fan, great. If you just get brave enough to only post negative things (especially after only one loss), I'm sure there are plenty of other teams that would love to have your support.

Normally I ignore the retardation but I think I'm gonna start going on a neg rep campaign against the totally stupid just as soon as I get the rep button back...
