Big 10 had 4 teams play in today's NY6 games.  2 won big, 2 lost big.

Does anyone really care that OSU, the far and away preseason #1 team, beat the most perpetually overrated team in all of sports or that Michigan beat a Florida team with no QB or offense that was barely top 20?  Honestly, no.  The two team in the conference championship team who played top 6 ranked opponents got absolutely wrecked.

OSU didn't earn the right to even be in the conversation.  If you can't even make your conference championship game, you're out.

Just using the top 8 teams according to the selection committee for argument sake. (Not that I agree with those rankings.)

Found this interesting...

Bama and Clemson will collect a whopping $40 million for each team for advancing to the championship game. (18 million for the semifinals and 22 million for the championship game.)

the thing is though in this case 2 of the 5 best teams (MSU, OSU) were in the same division so one of them was left out of the conference championship. The problem with keeping out teams that dont win a conference championship is that it puts in a team that doesnt deserve it because they won a weak conference (Oklahoma) instead of a team with a better resume (Ohio State)

Then it's up to the conference to realign their divisions.  Like back in the day when OU and Texas always fought to win the Big 12 South to decide who would kick the poo out of the winner of the north.

To be fair, OK didn't play in a conference championship either and made it in.

The rankings were way off. The big ten was over hyped and the conf tie in with some bowls need to go.

The NCAA and ESPN are trying to hard for a big tv match up and is falling.

ABC and FOX had much better bowls but ESPN seems to be more puppet master and it hasn't worked.

The first 2 years the big 10,11,12 conf has benefited the most financially
