Pagano to be fired, new DC if we lose SM?

Wilkes was also promoted to "Assistant Head Coach" this past offseason.  Giving him that designation would also prevent him from being poached for a DC job since it wouldn't technically be a promotion.  The succession plan for DC in Carolina has already laid out.

Wilkes will be the man no question. If Shula somehow got hired as a HC im assuming Dorsey would take over as OC so we have continuity.

I may be in the minority but I really think the struggles of the second year were more on Cam adjusting to becoming a 'real' QB (The Cam we know now) and not on the OC. We definitely picked in up in the 2nd half of that year. Plus Cam already knows Chuds playbook. I don't know if there is anyone on our current staff more qualified

Mentioned this earlier,  this is what I am curious about. Dorsey (and Proehl) have zero coaching experience prior to coming to the Panthers. Would make me nervous,  having no prior play calling experience.

This may have already been answered.

Arians (as great as he is now), was never an NFL Head coach, until he was Interim Head Coach with Indy, while Pagano was recovering from cancer.

No way in hell, Indy would have fired Pagano coming off of that.

Note: Both Andrew Luck, and journeymen Carson Palmer have had their best seasons under Arians.

I don't think that's a coincidence.  Nonetheless, Indy kept him. And it couldn't have happened to a better team.

No it was Chud.

Cam, was fine as a "real QB" during the 2nd half of his second year when they dropped too much of the read option crap (when Rivera took charge, fearing loss of his job).

However, it was Chud (and Rivera, unfortunately went along with it at the time) who decided to go Whole Hog on the Read Option the first half of his second year, though Cam did fine under Center during his rookie year.

Panthers, are not running a college offense. Not even close (no matter how flippant you were being).

Yes; Cam's great! No doubt about it. However, if Shula's creative enough to make the offense work with basic receivers, then maybe he could do some tricks for Miami? It's all about working with what you have as an OC.

Tannehill's a decent QB. And they do have some talent at receivers, if I'm not mistaken?
