Mario Williams Reportedly Being Cut In Offseason

Hardy got paid over 13 million this season but has only generated six sacks and disappeared for a lot of games.  He wasn't the defensive force the Cowboys thought they were getting.  Plus this season proved he's pretty much still a knucklehead.  There's no compelling reason to bring him back.

As to Williams, he's only had four.  You can say that's the scheme (and it may well be) but some of his teammates are talking about him, with the latest one saying he mentally "checked out" months ago (link).

The big question would be how seriously you take the talk of attitude issues, because Lord knows that wouldn't fly in the Panthers locker room.

Why are people thinking Ziggy Ansah will be a free agent? He still has 1 year left on his rookie deal and then the 5th year option which will certainly be picked up. Not to mention that even if he was a free agent, he would go for at least $15 M per year which we can absolutely not afford.

Mixing him up with Ziggy Hood, maybe?

Ziggy Hood could be had right now, but given how he's looked in recent years I'm not sure why you'd want him.

Same response as Super Mario.  Gonna be about the money.  I don't want vets on the wrong side of 30 signed to big guaranteed money. It'll depend on what they want.  If they're trying to go for one last big money deal, it won't be in Charlotte.  But if they're of the mindset that they've made their money and it's time to chase a ring, then c'mon down.  I'm sure Gettleman would be willing to sign them to a fair offer that won't hamstring the cap.

Sometimes, a change of scenery is good for a player.  Most people thought Oher was done, but he's played very well this season.
